Is it my specs or just bad optimalization?

I have a i5-9700f gtx 1660 ti and 16gb of ram

The game is not smooth and barely holds 60 fps with drops
The ram usage is at 95% as well with all the settings on low

Should I just play like this cuz nothings going to change? or wait for more patches cuz then I'll get a better overall expirience

Your gtx 1660 ti is outdated. As much as I blame the horrendous optimization, your gpu bargain bin budget material. the safest budget gpu in my opinion is the 3060.

forgot to mention also, your ram is too low. this game runs like a workhorse using more than 16gb. people are reporting 22gb of ram in some cases. You need at least 32GB of ram.

The Intel Core i5-9700f is a 8-Core / 8 Thread CPU. I'm not sure what the verdict is on the impact of Hyperthreading on this game. Some are reporting issues with Efficiency cores enabled. Regardless, you should exceed the 720p Low Minimum requirements for 30 FPS.

You will probably want to tone down any CPU heavy settings in the graphics options, such as "animations". Maybe a patch will fix that in the future?

The GTX 1660ti performance should be enough for 1080p High, Benchmarks seem to put in in the ballpark of the Recommended Requirements, but we are waiting on patches to improve the situation.

However, 6GB of VRAM is too low for 1080p High, in some levels and areas you are probably going to hit a performance impact. Your RAM will have to do heavy lifting, which means you will need more than 16GB of RAM to get more than Low detail settings.

Your specs are unfortunately, a little too low.

youre completely ignoring the fact that store says 1050ti is minimum.

chart before release said 2070s is required for high 1080p60.

hence his specs should be able to run it medium 1080p60 but thanks to the abomination of an optimization he cant.

So you think that's where the issue lies? To be fair I've had these specs for 3 years now and I've been thinking about an upgrade and from what your saying the gpu needs to gooo. Would 3060 would be enough or would you recommend investing a bit more into it?

Those recommended specs came out of their asses. They are a joke. This game is a resource hog.

with or without them, ( they scammed us and pulled a funny prank on us with those specs ) 1660ti is not outdated. all other sony titles worked fine for it for my friends. this one however, as i said should do fine stable 1080p60 medium anyway. hopefully after the patches it will.

So what your saying is even tho the gpu is kinda outdated, from what they stated it still should run me 60fps on medium. But now did they completly Lied or is it going to be fixed?

I wonder if it's the RAM. I can run on 1080p high with a 2070 (8GB) based laptop with 32 GB of RAM. I would think you'd be able to do medium with that card.

your gpu is not outdated, ( it will be very soon though unfortunately ) this game is just a big funny joke thats all.

yes id say wait for patches. im also waiting, i stopped playing after an hour or something.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ i cant maintain stable 60 fps lowest setting on 1080p dlss 60 fps on rtx 2060 i have fps drop to 40's . i should be able run this ♥♥♥♥ on medium 1080 dlss atleast 60 solid fps just stop defending ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ports

its the same for me i have 1660 but not Ti 16 gb of ram and im barely maintaining 40 fps on low, other games like uncharted i play 80 fps on medium settings
