A working fix to resolve slow compiling, graphics stutters and stability v1.0.1.6

Hopefully it this will help other who are having issues running this game.

I have been experiencing some of the issues when running the game mostly crashes to desktop.

Replacing the "oo2core_9_win64.dll" with the previous version have made the game playable all graphics stutters have gone and as yet no crashes to desktop.

Heres what I did:

1. download "oo2core_9_win64.dll" from https://www.dll-files.com/oo2core_8_win64.dll.html

2. Verify game files via Steam. This will also reset the shader cache.
3. Before starting the game - extract and replace the dll file in the Steam game directory
4. Run the game

This time the Shader compilation took around 10mins to complete - before it was nearly 1hr

When running the prologue I was seeing stutters when just looking around the bedroom now its fast and smooth.

It also always crashed just before they run out of the front door - now it plays through just fine

I will report back if I have any issues or crashes

Hopefully it will work for others too :)

The latest patch replaces "oo2core_9_win64.dll" 2.9.6 with 2.9.9 so, no that isn't needed anymore. You don't have to replace it anymore.

This is for the latest version 1.0.1.6 - as since downloadiing the latest patch it was still taking 1hr to compile and it would crash in various places, and graphics would stutter in most scenes.

Now since replacing the DLL I am able to run 1440, DLSS quality without any stutters. Mostly it hasnt crashed to the desktop...yet!

If i replace the file the game dont get past the black start screen before dropping to desktop.

Sorry it didnt work for you - Ive never had the black start screen issue, just crashing while playing the game

It sounds like ND will be releasing a couple of bigger patches this week, hopefully they will fix it permanently

I tried it and it's working for me very well man!!! Compiled shaders much faster and definitely smoother. Only thing: the file must be renamed to oo2core_9_win64.dll for it to work.
