I may upgrade to rx 6800 xt as it's same performance of 3080 but 16 GB or Vram. I may stop using NVIDIA in the future.
i have an rtx 3080. never had any issues playing any game on ultra except for this game.
Most new nVidia cards have 16 and more GB of VRAM. But rx 6800 xt is a great relatively cheap GPU, so it's not a bad decision at all.
This game is simply not optimized for PCs. They really need to sort out somehow the VRAM overallocations while keeping the textures detailed. Not sure if possible, tho... after all game is designed for PS5 hardware.
But how does that make any sense? Than it should be stated as : "If you want mediocre experince have this , if you want full experience have that". Would you recommend irl to use mediocre tools for some job with possibility that they will not perform properly or would you recommend the best ones that will do the proper job?
Playing this game on medium settings is kinda bleh. It is a beautiful game, and seems sort of wasteful to play it like that...
