He's willing to return it but CD Keys business model doesn't allow it, an authorised reseller would be able to hand the publisher a list of redeemed keys they need revoked in the case of refunds. Just because CD Keys chose a shady business model doesn't mean the consumer automatically forfeit their statutory rights.
He doesn't have the right to return in this situation even EU laws make exemptions for digital good returns. So no legally he has no rights to return it. The only way he would have the right to return it is if the product didn't work. Cdkeys product is a cd key not the game. since the key worked he has no right to return.

If he makes a case to PayPal and he is truthful and honest and PayPal find in his favour there is absolutely nothing fraudulent about his behaviour.

no that would be considered abusing paypals systems. Just because paypal says "ok" does not mean you are cleared from legal wrong doing. Paypal doesn't have that authority.
Haha. You pay peasant prices, you suffer like a peasant.

I would very much doubt PayPal is going to refund a transaction that was delivered on as promised for a good that cannot be returned to the seller.
Only buy games you know you'll enjoy/trust and know well when going the cdkey route.

Again, this isn't legal wrong doing. The law is not written specifically for serial keys and needs reasonable interpretation. It can be reasonably interpreted that the customer should be refunded if the key activates a faulty product. You can argue a different side but there is no legal wrong doing and there is not case, at all, for fraud.

The law is written to cover all digital goods including serial keys so no it can't be reasonably interpreted, your just wrong and have no idea what the actual law says.

Don't belive me? Heres what valve says https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/369C-3E9F-76FD-DEDA

the moment you download it the law no longer applies
another important thing that the eu law doesn't cover is boxed software that has been open. This is why all key websites make you click a button to unveil the key, because you are unboxing it.

Im going through the hurdle now. I contacted Paypal and waiting for closure.

I dont want the game. I won't make purchases outside of Steam going forward.
That's called fraud and is illegal. Remember it's always smart to admit to your crimes on the internet.
You're the same type of mf to cry because someone pirated a game you paid for.

Checked your profile out of curiosity, find it funny that you say "FunFact you can get game bans without cheating for things like being toxic, VM's." whilst you have a VAC ban which if you aren't aware (somehow), VAC ONLY bans for cheating and does not ban for VMs but rather if it flags you for it, it will just kick you with a VAC authentication error which does not result in a ban. Chances are you cheated and are trying to bs your way out of it, not that I care but just found it funny.

you know if you really want to know what my vac ban is from I'll tell you. You don't have to assume and make false claims like " VAC ONLY bans for cheating" because it's not true.

I mean the first thing you say to me is

you have no evidence for this your just making false claims to try and invalidate my valid points. You went to my profile not curiosity but to find something to invalidate me.
I also find it funny how you ignored the point I'm making now in my bio where I said ", I assume your here to try to invalidate a point because I have a game ban. The fact is your only doing that because your argument is horrible." That's right your so predictable I predicted you months ago.

Share your VAC ban and I’ll share mine

I was the owner of one of the largest hvh (hacker vs hacker) community servers in csgo. The server hosting I was using for some reason would default the server config to being Vac secured after every update and I would have to turn it off manually. I forgot to turn it off when I was doing maintenance because a server crashing script was going around and I had to patch my server for it (A person named dylan leaked the crash script and alot of servers were being essentially held ransom). Anyways I used a known injection point using proccess hacker to inject the crash script into my server to make sure the exploit was patched. I was banned a couple days later.

Oh.. mine’s kinda lame in comparison. I simply downloaded some cheats in DBD and starting ***ing with peoples’ games since I didn’t actually play the game and didn’t care about a ban. Took a few months and A LOT of very obvious cheating scenarios before I got banned.

Go on them, cite me legislation (from a government source) that specifically mentions the sale of serial keys by third party sites.
