Sony deliberately release a unplayable game to boost Playstaiton
From Sony's document to boycott Microsoft acquisition Activision:

Microsoft might release a PlayStation version of Call of Duty where bugs and errors emerge only on the game’s final level or after later updates. Even if such degradations could be swiftly detected, any remedy would likely come too late, by which time the gaming community would have lost confidence in PlayStation as a go-to venue to play Call of Duty. Indeed, as Modern Warfare II attests, Call of Duty is most often purchased in just the first few weeks of release. If it became known that the game’s performance on PlayStation was worse than on Xbox, Call of Duty gamers could decide to switch to Xbox, for fear of playing their favourite game at a second-class or less competitive venue.

TLDR: deliberately release a unplayable game can makes gamers jump to other platform.

Sorry I am not buying a PS5, due to the shortages I have been unable to get one and gave up on it. I am happy wiith my Xbox and PC.

The Last of Us and Horizon Dawn run great on my machine. I have not had any issues, I am happy with the PC versions.

That is just ridiculous. No developer or publisher wants to release a broken game. Everyone worked really hard trying to do the best they could and they're still do.

It's not conspiracy theory, it came from Sony's own words!

not unlikely. yes. Mc Software is a shady company. pretty sure i had them cripple my ue5 editor too. had to remove some of their services to make it work.

i doubt sony is in this boat tho. the game is working. it has some startup and stability issues that can be resolved. it's defo not intentionally unplayable. just most users broke it and had an inferior experience cause they didn't compile the shaders first. bit of tech issue. naughty dog for sure have no experience with the vast zoo of pc configs out there that lead to this rn. valve could be a good sport and clean the review bombing residue when they get all the issues sorted out. a clean plate.

you all just damn wrong for pushing this cancel narrative. you the damn fxcking internet zombie crowd. the game is actually pretty good. you know?!?

imagine buying a brand new car, and it blows up within a year. then you go and buy the same exact make and model car again. whose going to do that? if sony dont instill confidence in a playerbase that is not already invested in the ps5, why would they think that if they sabotage their pc games it would make people run and pay 100s of dollars more to play said game on their own hardware? that would make zero buisness sense at all.

but, its not like companies havent done highly questionable things before that ended up shooting themselves in the foot so who knows what these people are really thinking behind closed doors.

I know what they said. But that has nothing to do with their releases on PC. Microsoft doesn't own PC and they don't make money on Steam sales.

I guess they knew I would never buy a playstation, and that's why I got the special copy that works just fine.

zzzzzzzz
