DualSense Haptics Locked
I plugged DualSense to pc with both heads type-c cable. Still haptics option locked saying like"you must plug controller to use it". Anyone know the solution for this please?

Try going to the Steam controller options under big picture and disable steam input for the dualsense controller. Usually letting the game handle the controller fixes that problem.

What do the haptics actually feel like? I tried using them in Spidey and couldn't really tell if they were working properly or not as, having not owned or used a PS5, I had, and still have, no idea what they're supposed to feel like. How do they compare to the rumble you get from DS4's and Xbox pads?

It makes you feel that web really getting out of spiderman's wrist. and in games where you can use guns it literally acts like a real gun trigger. hardens the button like a real gun trigger's hardness. when you going through rough terrain, it vibrates like this terrain when you going through this terrain in real life. also some imagination can make it much better.

Right now I'll take your word for that. I have to move, build my new rig, hope that TLOU gets sorted and then I'll test my DS5 again.

By the way, it also works wirelessly in this game somehow.

Mmm, sort of, there will be rumble sure, but , I don't think it's the true haptics.

Adaptive triggers, rumble, led showing your health, shake to fix flashlight, it's all there.

Naughty Dog says the game doesn't support wireless

Not working for me, even after disabling Steam Input and plugging with USB-C. My version of TLOU is a non-steam game, can it be related ? The controller is detected, but the options for haptics and triggers remains locked.

It could be related. If you have it plugged in and everything off including Steam Input in controllers, then I would say its probably the game. But, from what I understand, the game has the controller functions built in, so I don't know why your copy wouldn't have it. Which platform did you buy it from?

did you ever figure this out? I went to controller settings in Big Picture mode and under PlayStation Support i selected "not Enabled"
But when i launch the game, the controller works but the Haptics and adaptive triggers are still locked.... any ideas?

Update
So even though i did the above, it didn't work. I had to go to launch the game but then select the controller icon and disable steam input, which worked.

Is there a way to permanently disable the steam input? And what is the difference from disable steam input on the controller icon before launching the game versus the settings -->controller --> PlayStation support - not enabled?

You have to connect using a USB cable for haptics to work.

Steam Input disabled and select your Dualsense controller. The guy you responded to didn't have the Steam version of the game, so that was his problem.

While in Library, select the controller Icon and make your settings for The Last of Us Part 1 in your Library.
