Turning off DLSS fixed the crashing for me.
Might want to give it a shot.
My 3080 10Gb was constantly crashing, every 10 minutes or so, until I turned off DLSS.
Might want to give it a shot.
I haven't rechecked to see if FSR is more stable because for me FSR looks seriously crap, and the performance isn't any better than native.
Unfortunately, now I have to contend with the game's not that great performance, but overall I'd say it's not too bad.

So anyway. Check it out on your side!

Same here. I'm using FSR instead and had no crashes. Doesn't look as good as DLSS but looks fine to me.

Just out of curiosity, did you try updating the DLSS file to what happens with the newer one? I dont have any crashes with DLSS on Quality but I did update from the 3.1.2 that the game comes with to 3.1.11 from the SDK.

yeah i tried that. Made no difference. I ended up verifying the files then trying FSR and game now runs perfectly. I also noticed when using DLSS my RAM usage was above 20gb never seen it go that high before. Using FSR it dropped back to less than 10gb. Exactly the same graphic settings used on both.

Why is nvidia packaging out of date files with their new drivers is the question ?

the dlss files are packaged with the game not the drivers

DLSS is not packaged with drivers. Game developers are responsible for delivering old version of DLSS
Get DLSS latest file or whatever is best for you direct from tech power up or via DLSS Swapper App on Windows Store from which you can update all Steam games using DLSS with the latest version instead of manually.

I haven't had any crashes, and I also haven't been using DLSS. Anecdotal evidence, certainly, but this does give credence to the OP's theory.

Same issue like op, with a 3090. My game crashes every 10-15 min with or without Dlss enabled.

I can confirm this. Version 1.0 played just fine. Then after the patch, game was crashing every 2-5 min. Turning off DLSS and using FSR instead, did the trick. No more crashes.

But yeah, the game does NOT look as good with this setting :-/

Same. 3080. Resorted to using FSR. Game looks like ♥♥♥♥ but it doesn't crash. Great port.

I've been crashing a lot. Before and after the patch.

It looked like a crash during every autosave. However it's my guess only - after realunching and loading the game I was in exact spot, when crash occured.

However - today I have uninstalled and installed the game again.

Now DLSS Swapper says the game uses 3.1.2.0 DLSS, there was an earlier version before reinstalling. Might be voodoo, might be a coincidence - I don't know :)

And I've managed to play for 3 hours without the crash so far, which is a new experience ;)

When not crashing, I have DLSS on, almost everything on Ultra and I have stable 60fps in 1920x1080.

My specs:
i5-10400F (100% most of the time)
RTX 3070Ti (up to 60% of GPU usage, around 7GB of VRAM used)
32GB of RAM (22+ used with Firefox in the background)

Pre patch no crashes, after patch crashes. Switched from DLSS to FRS and no more crashes.
