I'm not going to try it, I'm tired of being a beta tester for incompetent developers and will wait to see if the game is fixed. I'm just talking about my experience with other games.
For example, I'm now playing BL3 again - with DX12 the game takes longer to start on my PC and I can't get rid of the occasional lags, while with DX11 it runs without a problem.

Why don't you try DX11? I get that you shouldnt have to but if the visual quality doesn't take much of a hit, at least it gets you playing.
Sorry, I won't even try to install this game after recent annoying experiments with games in a similar technical condition like Forspoken. But I'm sure there will be others who will give it a try. :-)
So please give us proof that you are running this game on DX11.
The overlay should be like this. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2954761654
Something like this is proof https://i.imgur.com/oigr36n.png
I refunded this game and won't buy it again just to see that this parameter does nothing.
