ellie's face
the game is on PC now, theres gotta be a mod in the making to get her original face back.

weird choice to change it. idc what the reason was.

her face isn't that much different but the original game as a whole is in a much more cartoonish art style, you'd probably want to wait for a total visual overhaul mod that attempts to revert the game back to that art style somehow, least all the other character models so Ellie's old model doesn't feel out of place.

They need to fix Tess's hair, it's distracting. Looks like a hair net when she is in the light or is it just me?

Because the creative director wanted it to look more like Ashley Johnson. The voice actor.

In TLOU2 they had to change Ellie's face because her original one was based on Elliot Page's face without his approval. That's why ND had to change it for the second game, then they decided to also change it in the Remake so that Ellie could look the same in both games.

It's not really a change, but adapting to be more human like and realistic. The original have a slight cartoon look to it with bigger eyes and puffier cheeks.

Same can be said about Joel. The new model is also looks slightly different because of the shift into more life like characters. Same type of changes applies to him as well.

Tess is, in fact, different altogether as the new model much closely resembles her actress.
