performance on rtx 3070
i want to reach out to those who own a 3070, i tried the game with 16 gb of ram rtx 3070 i7 8700k 4.8ghz and i noticed some hicups, it may be a ram issue, or a vram issue, i dont know, i wouldnt call the experience unplayable but almost, how your game perform on said card, or whatever card you are using?

You need to play at 1080p with this card and DLSS. Crazy stuff.

iv been playing a little bit more and i managed to get almost 60 fps locked with vsync at 1440p, with dlss at balanced the game looks pretty ok, i noticed that theres moments where the cpu hits almost 100% usage and those are the moments where the micro stutters occurs, its not a vram or gpu issue, when theres tons of npcs on screen the cpu suffers a lot, its pretty noticeable at the beginning when you are carrying sara, that part is a mess and kills the cpu, so if i have to take a gamble the perfomance issues has more to do with the game being really heavy on the cpu, and not a vram issue, with some tweaks im sitting around 6.5gb of vram usagge at 1440, the need to optimize on the cpu side

I finished it. Highest possible settings, 1440p DLSSp

5800x3d\3070\32gb

Butter smooth 99 percent of the time. Hiccups only near beginning curiously.

PS: Let shaders compile first.

Dlss on performance? I have minor hicups or even audio cuts when theres to many npcs on screen, but thats my cpu, your cpu is a beast + you have 32 gb of ram 😔

it would be concerning if you have issues with that rig, haha

4070 ti
16gb ram
Ryzen 5 5600x

running it at ultra on 3440x1440p in HDR and DLSS
Game looks really beautiful, performance wise it could be better, its around 70-80fps
100+ indoors. But deffinetly playable, no bugs, waiting screens or crashes yet

just an update, game runs great when using a controller vs mouse, no stutter.

at 1080p i have to keep the settings on High or else the VRAM usage gets to close to the limit and starts to cause crashes/graphic corruption

I had to turn off HDR as it made my screen shots look like turd lol plus ticked the box in steam settings "save uncompressed images" or something like that then screenshot's look fantastic.

Crashes aren't because of the lack of VRAM. I saw brother's game freezing then crashing to desktop exactly when
- VRAM usage showed 6235 MB
- GPU Usage showed 62% ( 1920x1080 - No Upscaling )
- 60 FPS ( FPS limit was set to 60 )
Test Rig:
- Asus Dual rtx 3070 OC LHR 8 GB VRAM
- İntel core i711700KF
- 32 GB (2x16) 3200 MHz
- Up to date Win 11 Home and drivers
Conclusion? No way they didn't know the game was poorly optimized. This was calculated. Neil Druckmann should've prioritized releasing a proper PC port and making honest money instead of using poorly optimized mess with the name tag ''the last of us'' and making money without spending too much money. If this was any other game you'd see only 10% of the reviews were positive. He must've assumed all the sheep in the world would buy this game. Iron Galaxy and Naughty Dog co-developed this port. For those who don't know Iron Galaxy was responsible for Batman Arkham Knight's PC port mess. Companies like these are why piracy is justified. If they want to make a fool out of you why don't you make a fool out of them instead?

I don't have a 3070, I have a 3080 but I thought I'd just mention the game runs fine for me, no issues in 7hrs. Running on high, DLSS quality, 1080p, capped at 60fps. Probably can go a bit higher but... it still looks nice.

weird, i can replicate the crash by using Ultra preset and it always crashes in the same place where the girl gets shot by the soldier

Was thinking about writing a little guide, not sure if that's a waste of time or not.

Please make a guide, I have the same card and I'm curious what your settings are
