Game crashing in permadeath mode

It happened twice that the games softlocks when playing in permadeath mode, it's already very frustrating to have to replay the game when dying by anything by my own fault (if there's a way to skip the prologue i really appreciate sharing) but getting a crash while permadeath which means i already lose the run because of game optimization just feels awful. Do anyone know if there's a way to get around it? because i tried to copy the savedata i had before and pasted it while opening the game again and nothing. I really wanna finish a permadeath run but if this could happen anytime and doesn't have to do with my pc requirements.
