Help with Motion Blur Issue - Excessive Blur When Moving Camera
Hey everyone,

I’m facing a frustrating issue with motion blur in my game. Whenever I move the camera quickly, there’s an excessive motion blur effect that causes characters to leave a "wind-like" trail behind them. The blur looks unnatural, and it's making the game difficult to enjoy. Has anyone experienced something similar, or does anyone have a solution?

Here are my system specs:

Monitor: 3440 x 1440, 54WQHD240, 240 Hz, G-SYNC Compatible

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 (Game Ready Driver 572.83)

CPU: Intel Core i9-14900K

RAM: 64 GB

OS: Windows 11 Pro (DirectX 12)

What I’ve tried:

Adjusted in-game settings (no success)

Made sure my drivers are up to date

I’ve recorded two short videos to demonstrate the problem. You can check them out here:

Part 1: Motion Blur Issue : https://youtube.com/shorts/HXs8R-PkO6U?feature=share

Part 2: Motion Blur Issue : https://youtube.com/shorts/yrVdIF_8aYg?feature=share

Has anyone found a fix for this or encountered something similar? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

have you actually tried to disable motion blur? if it doesn't go away it's likely ghosting produced by dlss.

this doesnt seems to be a motion blur issue, seems like to me its somekind of ghosting cause by dlss or fsr. After you disabled motion blur try other Anti-Aliasing Options maybe some other methods dont have this ghosting issues

or if your monitor has ELMB sync function try switching it off (or on if its on) maybe some monitor option is ON which cause this

so you run native resolution? and you disabled motion blur? and you still have that?

hmm... that is not supposed to happen. taa shouldn't produce that much motion artefacting either. i have no clue, then. sry

This is 100% caused by DLAA, after disabling its all good

now i have the same issue :D Mine occured when i optimised the game through nvidia app and switch into DLAA, then i manually switched to dlss quality. My ghosting problem occours on DLSS not DLAA and i am at the hydroplant area. So i suggest you try different upscaling methods see if solves your problem too
Hello everyone thank you for your help i fixed the problem so what i did
1-i turned off DLSS & DLAA
2- i tuned off motion blur
3- i turned off film grand filter
and everything fixed fine after that i face freezing problem lol what a joke imagine you pay for high end pc and that's what you got :skul:

Run DDU and install driver 566.36. You have a 4090 and this driver will be fine for you. As 572 series has a ton of issues right now for a lot of people.
