Here are some suggestions that will help free up system resources to get better performance out of your system.
Try a clean boot. As this will improve performance by lowering both CPU and RAM usage before you even start the game. As well as mitigate any potential conflicts with other programs running.
To do a clean boot disable all non essential services, programs and tasks from starting with PC. So use services (services app or system configuration app), tasks (task scheduler app, select task scheduler library), and startup items (task manager) to disable them.
Check all 3 areas. If anyone is enabled that software will run and could be causing conflicts with the game. Like some Razer software or GPU monitoring software can cause issues with performance in some games or cause them to crash.
Try cleaning out your display driver with DDU and install 566.36. The 572 series is a bit of a mess now. Unless you really need a more up to date driver for other games.
Running DDU will remove previous driver/s completely and ensure a clean install. Like its being done for the first time on a newly installed OS. Just note that all control panel (app)/monitor settings will be reset. Shaders will have to be compiled again for this game and others after updating.
Here is link for DDU. Make sure to read/follow guide if unfamiliar. Its in the link. https://www.wagnardsoft.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5230
Once cleaned and display driver has been installed successfully. Reboot the PC even if not prompted. Once rebooted, open NVIDIA control panel, navigate to manage 3D settings, select Texture Filtering - Quality, and set this to performance. This should help give a bit more FPS and not degrade visual quality of the game.
As mentioned above. It would also be good to disable Windows Game mode, Game Bar, and captures. If you using any other game recording like OBS or NVIDIA APP (GeForce Experience), it would be good to disable them as well.
Keep Re-Bar on, but disable HAGS.
If you use an anti-virus, windows security, or data protection. Make exceptions to your game folders. This way it disables the scans and doesnt conflict with your games. Which will also help free up system resources.
