TTWD vs TLOU Part 1 and Purchase TLOU Part 2?
I just finished the game and I really feel that it runs very similarly to Telltale's Walking Dead. I mean Lee&Clem vs Joel&Ellie vibes. And because of this, the story of TLOU felt a bit stale, old and rehashed from something that already existing. But again, the game is good and as a cinematic experience 11/10.

However, gameplay was pretty boring, I just wanted to get into the story as efficiently as possible, not move pallets over the water or getting ladders down.

Anyway, I have read conflicting reviews & opinions between TLOU Part 1 & TLOU Part 2. Now that Part 2 is coming in a few days, is it significantly better than Part 1? As it is, I am not very inclined to purchase it now. The 15 hours I spent playing would have been better spent watching the show (which I did before but stupid me thought the game would be much better).

So, considering the above, is Part 2 worth it? What would be the advantages? Are the story & gameplay better?

TTWD/TLoU: It's a trope.
writing devices; like
- lonewolf & cub
- the road << the father figure dies in this one too

TLoU has a culturewar cloud over it - by "gamerz".
It was released 5 years ago; YT full-walkthroughs exist.
- every debate/opinion that could have been made in 5 years is a google away.
- scan thru it and make up your own mind.

I'm not sure if you would appreciate the sequel any more than the first game. The gameplay is better, but it is still very similar to the first. There's still environmental puzzles. It's also a longer game.

The story is definitely more subjective. I enjoyed it less than the first game, but that's purely a personal preference.

Well Tlou2 has less of the the "bonding" that tlou has instead it's a revenge story.

However it is pretty close to Tlou1 in gameplay so if you didn't like 1 you probably shouldn't buy 2.

That being said there is a rogue-like mode in 2 but I wouldn't buy the game just for that mode alone.
the story of TLoU was much more interesting and captivating for me in comparison to TTWD, which i refunded in like 1.5 hrs. I know I maybe should've given it a bit more time, but honestly I couldn't care less lmao. TLoU 1+2 would be my way-to-go
