1. I am Ukrainian.
2. If I know the Russian language, it does not mean that I am Russian by nationality.
3. It doesn’t matter that the game looks worse than the PS3 version; what’s important is that the developers imposed artificial restrictions that prevent the game from launching without a mod for the VULKAN API.
4. I’d like to point out that in Silent Hill 2 Remake and Dead Space Remake, there are no such artificial restrictions on RAM.

Well, it looks like DXVK is doing an ok job performance wise here with that mod from nexus. Even if it is on a laptop. But yea, its made specifically for systems with low end hardware.

The only restriction would be for VRAM though. I dont believe there was a restriction with system RAM. Especially now since you increased the page file to 30GB. Lol. But I wouldnt recommend that for someone using a HDD.

Anyway, here are the mods in case anyone comes across this and is curious what OP used.

DXVK isn’t suitable for everyone on DX 12; with my configuration of 16GB of RAM, there would be more FPS and smoother visuals. But the fact is: DXVK can run the game on 8GB of RAM if you manually create a config with minimal game settings beforehand, as without it, the game won’t even let you into the main menu. It was all filmed poorly with a phone camera, as I'm not sure that OBS could record the game itself without it crashing.

This mod has been around almost a week after game released. Which is well over a year ago now. Strange how you couldnt find anything about it. Nexusmod is literally the first link that comes up on google. Unless your region has different search results than me? At least you were able to finally come across it in order to get the game running on your system.

Yea, im sure OBS would conflict since you capping the system already. So it couldnt take more strain. Anyway. good stuff. Enjoy the game.

Most likely, the language translator is not translating something correctly. I used to find DXVK on Nexus Mods, but it wouldn't run the game without a CFG file for lower graphic settings. It gives an error: "Not enough RAM or video memory." Even if the page file is 30 GB or more. In general, these graphic settings files are missing if the game doesn't start and gives an error: "Not enough memory." Anyway, thanks, I’ll enjoy it once I upgrade my memory soon.

sry about that. i just saw the kyrillic letters. i'll change it to eastern europe then. all inclusive. either way... interesting that vulkan changes that much to run it with 8GB ram. i mean... the content/assets still gotta be loaded. not sure how it ends up working.

Также, возможно, драйвера у тебя не подходят нужны более старые. Я в видео открывал панель управления Nvidia, там можешь найти, какой именно драйвер у меня стоял. Или я могу удалить и снова поставить конфиг и мод для тебя, так как без него игра не запускается.
