Gameplay ; 6
The game has a mixture of stealth, shooting, melee, and aggro. If you've played games like Metro or Bioshock (on hardest difficulty) You have to make huge certain that you waste little to no ammo. Of course, this is done a bit easier on MnK if you have decent aim, getting headshots isn't that hard since NPCs sort of power walk or jog in ways that isn't so hard, and if you're in an akward angle, you can jsut shoot them in the leg, and take them as a meat shield and shoot all the other guys who slowly / casually peak from low over.
Steal & Action ; 8
Honestly the best way to get through game is stealth, but that's boring, if you play the game on survival / grounded, there are certain path ways you can find in most levels that allows you to skip the entire enemy pod and progress to the next level. It's not like metal gear where you have a dozen or so tools, or most immersive sims like deus ex. Stealth is mostly composed of you finding bottles and bricks, and throwing them to area to lead enemies astray. There's light moments of parkour and level traversal as you can mantle above objects or find hidden path ways to sneak around into cover, but it's very straight forward and has never felt impactful. That being said though, most fight often feel intense, I know I wrote out that the gameplay often feel straight forward, but the level of detail in animations and sound effects often makes the game feel good to play.
I know that sounds a bit like AAA slop, but, for what it is, it's one of those games where turning your brain off to certain situations doesn't feel knuckle dragging.
Story ; 9
It's considered one of the best stories in gaming currently. Although I attribute most of it due to the motion capture technology that was implemented to tell a story that could really be translated into a cinematic movies with fair bits of gameplay. The story takes on alot of ques and plot beats from movies like Children of men, and The Road. If you typically enjoy apocalypse stories or the walking dead, you'll certainly enjoy TLOU's story.
Replayability ; ?
The game suffers from many slow walking sections, and some moments of unskippable cut scenes. While there are cut scenes that you can watch, and on my second play through I was often still entertained, like rewatching an old movie / TV show that I found appealing. But to its detrament, TLOU has varrying degrees of resource management, and open ended gameplay that makes you think. Hmmm, i totally could of saved more ammo in that section, or beat this AI, or traverse this level better to get better at the game. Personally I use a 3rd party program to skip alot of these sections via by multiplying the game's speed to rush through the sections. Heck even looting ends up feeling a bit tedious at times.
There's an event mode where you can replay various areas, but the ammo or progression or upgrades you made throughout the campaign don't carry over.
Graphics ; 10
In m opinion, it's one of the better looking games. It's like Metro, very gritty, grounded. Post apoclyptic is my favorite setting, and TLOU sort of nails it in terms of a run down, dirty abandoned city type vibes.
Why don't you play the game on your own and find out that way? Not sure why you'd ask that when you already own the game.
cus im downloadng it now
Ok, based on the games you already have. You will def enjoy this one. Have fun!
Perhaps I'm spoiled by having played some truly great story games, starting with Horizon Zero Dawn or the Ghost of Tsushima. This is a game I finished just because I have a hard time just ditching a game I've invested in. Silly me.
I really needed a good laugh, thank you
The Last of Us at least is a focused linear title that tries to excel at what it's setting out to achieve. I can't see how anyone could find it boring unless you hate paying attention to stories in games.
