I now have the game running on high with DLSS on performance (doesn't look bad at all) and I can get 70-90fps which appears to be nice and smooth and the game finally has the balance of good looking graphics and smooth frames.
My rig is 2070 super, i7 13700k, 64gb 5600 ddr5 ram so my bottleneck is now my GPU at least in this game.
I am happy to play this game at this level of performance and graphics settings. I wasn't going to ruin the experience of being able to play this great game on PC with the standard the game launched in.
Consoles still feel better at lower fps than gaming PCs do. Especially with this game.
feels? yeah. it feels good on my rig. plays very well.
i just did a casual hard run. intro to cargo+. i still gotta figure out a nice stealth route thru this one section in the beginning of the downtown area. yo
Sure, no question. First person shooter where it makes sense.
but I would never force a slow-paced third person action-adventure to 120fps... better in maxed out 4k@60fps
*only my opinion*
image clarity? the heck. you can disable motion blur. i have to disable it anyway, or i get sick.
Smooth at 48 fps? LOL
don't judge me. try it and judge the result. my monitor has 2 frequencies. i compared 60 fps on 60 Hz and 48 fps on 144 Hz. the 48 was smoother. i had severe sync issues running 30 fps, and microstutters running 60 fps on the 144 Hz. i put it where it needs to be. so...
Can't maintain 120 fps here. using medium/high settings.
Been trying to lock it to 100,so far it's been fairly OKAY but I still have framedrops here and there and some frametime issues occur randomly when entering new area, or when there are NPCs.
The sort of frame pacing issue you will encounter when running out of vram although i have 24gigs of vram. it feels terrible and even when the fps is in the 100s it makes it very unplayable. they go away but always come back at some point. They usually start hitting right after you pick up a paper or interact with something for some reason, seems like a bug.
BTW the game runs just fine on 60fps. none of the frame pacing issues occur when locking it to 60.
unfortunately i'm too spoiled to enjoy games at such low framerates and it feels sluggish as hell,so i cant enjoy this game very much at 60 fps.
Yes AND? 48fps are perfectly sychronisable to 144Hz. Pure mathematics...
more than 100 years ago mankind already had 24 fps cinema films on celluloyd through a shutter on smooth 72 fps or 96 fps
Multiples of 1x the refresh rate..
3x 48 = 144, so he's getting 1/3 of the fps but since it's an even number ( 48 ) it should sync just fine with his monitor, that's what I'm getting from it anyway
