The statement clearly indicated that it REQUIRES Windows to run, and the version must be 10 or higher.
Well, it's pretty obvious Linux Mint isn't "way better" because you can't even play the game LOL
Download ProtonQT to get updated protons for this game and various others.
Also may I suggest getting a different fork of linux? Such as Nobara, Reggeta, Popos and the such are great alts for using for gaming!
Use a more modern distro such as Fedora/Kinoite that has up-to-date support and games will run fine.

The majority of games are click and play on any launcher with higher frame rate and stability than on Windows. The only games that don't run have lazy anti-cheat, or games that are so broken they don't even run on Windows.
Mint however is meant to be install and forget for office work, and most definitely not gaming. It's just far too ancient.
