What give the best image quality without mods or newer DLSS version?

Native gives you best image quality ALWAYS. Its just a matter of game. In some games difference is noticable less in some more. Your choice

depends on the content. there were some games, i think last year or 2, that even looked better with dlss. readable text and fine lines. the reconstruction is pretty damn good. for most textures you only get a generic approach. sharpened bumps and basic upscale stuff.

Native will also look better. DLSS makes compromises. These developers are depending too much on this kind of stuff. DLSS looking better than native is a ridiculous thing to say.

It may subjectively appear better in some games, at least that is what is always mentioned in this context. I am not a fan of such tech as well, espcially if it is not needed. If I can reach smooth FPS like 60-100+ without it I would never enable it. Why would I?

DLSS is looking sometimes better because it’s using AA. I would use most of the the time DLSS it’s performing well and looks equal.

DLSS 2.5.1 Quality with sharpening disabled (preference thing here) through a hex edit on the exe looks better than native 4k, imo.
