Same. I just bought the game and haven't been able to play it once.
Bought the game like 1 1/2 years ago and it worked flawless but now I got the same problem.
I didn't change any hardware so I think it might have something to do with the latest update (January 24th 2025).
I'll try to verify my files and tell you if it worked.

I also have not been able to play. Crashes every time at the loading screen when shaders are compiling. I have tried everything to get this game to work and I have a fairly high end PC as well.
Verified my files - nothing.
Tried to customize my Vram - nothing.
Rolled my GPU driver back to 556.12 - nothing.
Tried a simple solution like a forcestart with -dx11 - nothing.

It still crashed after spinning that coin for half a second.

Windows Event Manager says I don't have enough Ram (I have 16GB) which should be enough.

I'm at the end of my wits here.

Same issue. Worked for long enough to ruin my ability to refund the game, now I can't even launch it. It's been an issue well before the recent update.

Can someone test this and confirm if it solves the issue cause it worked for me (except I got one crash near the end if I play the whole game in one session)

You have to turn off optimization for windowed games in graphics in windows 11 menu !

Here a vid showing how to do it ! ! It doesnt cost to try it for people having crashes

Didn't work for me, unfortunately. I can still only sit in the main menu compiling shaders for like 30 seconds before it crashes. I have a pretty high end build, too.
Tried it too. Unfortunately it didn't work.
The game won't even open anymore.
Same problem... Nex time better download torrent version, save money...
The game sat in the main menu long enough for my shaders to finish compiling, and it's now running for the longest it ever has. It's been about 5 minutes now without a crash. I don't want to speak too soon, but it seems there may be an issue with that process? Unless it just happens to be a coincidence that as soon as they finished compiling, the game isn't crashing after 30 seconds anymore.

Working in support as a living, my mind's nagging me to post every single step I took before the game stopped crashing, just in case it isn't the shaders compiling that was the issue; just want to help anyone else experiencing the same problem.

When I loaded into the main menu, I changed the game from Borderless Windowed to Windowed, then back to Borderless Windowed. After that, I changed my Anti-Aliasing mode to Default instead of NVIDIA DLAA. During this time, my shaders finished compiling at some point.

As I'm typing this, my game hasn't crashed since my most recent comment. I really do think it's the shaders that were the culprit, but I could be wrong. You may just have to keep starting the game up again after it crashes so it can slowly make progress on compiling the shaders until it's finished. Super annoying.
Quick update -- game hasn't crashed since my last comments. Seems to be fixed for good.
Welp....I guess Avast (My Antivirus) didn't really like this game for some reason.
I whitelisted it and now it works.
Glad to hear you guys got it working, but I can't even get to the main menu. All I see is a second or two of the loading screen before it crashes and tells me I have a file integrity problem - I've verified game files and reinstalled a million times and tried a lot of fixes suggested online with no success.

Did you install on same drive as OS? Others reported issues when the game wasnt installed on same drive as Windows.

Could be a cooling issue?
