Report a translation problem
READ Carefully! That's not funny :D
Good help, though.
They don't even read properly and are very quick to accuse others. Good help @animal_PLANET
Ahh ok. I will give you that. You mess of replies got lost in translation.
However, if you say you have no issues with other games, than go on to say you do have issues with other games. Its your PC.
Nope, that would only be the case if I couldn't download and run the same game from the Microsoft Store and confirm that this issue is related to Steam or WoT Blitz only.
It's not the PC.
If only I could run 'TLOU' from another client to check this, but that's not possible, IMO.
If you werent so quick to be rude to others than maybe the thread wouldnt of turned out the way it did?
Please, if you have any suggestions, that would be great..truly.
Maybe it would solve the problem with Wot Blitz as well, so I wouldn't need to see standard program files from Microsoft Windows on my clean SSD.
But there are also plenty of threads with the very same problem still unsolved.
I'm afraid that's unfixable for this game, which leads back to the very topic of this thread....a AAA game that has FPS drops in ... okay, in 2024 :D
Plenty of threads with users who listed their full specs and actually did some troubleshooting have solved their performance issues with this game.
Here you go yet again with taking shots at the game. When the majority has no issues. Including myself. So if the majority has no issues and people actually have gone on to solve their problems when willing to get under the hood to fix it. Instead of immediately pointing blame like you are and being rude to others. Things have gone smoothly and issues were fixed. Which proves that its not the actual game that has issues.
I guess you still havent learned anything in what has transpired here in this thread.
I will leave you to it than. GL with your
Well, actually you're wrong, dude. And I can prove that.
P.S. I dunno what that "lemon" emoji means though, so it's not working.
As well as a wall of text asset of yours that is more likely BS from the very beginning.
But, surprisingly to me, this thread of ours has borne some fruit
because I think I found a solution.
But that's a strange one...
It will probably help with not just one AAA game but with a thousand similar cases involving thousands of games, browsers, and even video streaming services. Because even HBO Max support assistants couldn't solve it yet for several months since my last report.
Eventually, it involves a connection technology.
Or more precisely, the DisplayPort Multi-Stream Transport (MST) technology (which you @animal_PLANET wouldn't even use or hear of since you probably have an archaic and cheap PC setup. Probably with the same old and cheap monitor through old HDMI or maybe even VGA).
How silly of me to think YOU would help ME with something here?? lol
Anyway,
It appears that when using this connection between high-res monitors close to 1440p or more with DisplayPort cables from PC-to-monitor1-to-monitor2-to-monitor3 and more, it causes some strange "laggy" experiences and even random picture blinks. Particularly in some apps, games, and even Chrome tabs with open high-res video services like Netflix, HBO, etc.
Google says that some issues might happen, but you wouldn't even notice or think of this since not all apps are involved—just some of 'em. Like The Last of Us, WoT Blitz, somehow HBO Max video service, and God knows what....
I suspect they use some codec or bad port or maybe haven't even tried to adapt to that technology because it's rarely used.
And you know what?
I just got rid of these FPS drops in this game by simply unplugging all the cables from the other monitors, disabling this function from monitor settings. And voila! It runs smoothly, as it should. But the point is the same—the devs don't even know about this and couldn't fix it because of guys like you who crawl over Steam threads and arrogantly tell them that it's something with their setup, def a user error whatever and the game is perfect. It's only you and your setup! Ridiculous...
I can't say now that I would have found this issue without your help, though....but thanks to your arrogance and whatever else you have there.
But this is a wall of text with a REAL SOLUTION I'm showing here for those who have similar problems.
If you have more than two or three monitors, check how you plugged them in. Check HDMI or DisplayPort cables. They sometimes cause just as many problems from being damaged or defective when you bought them.
Good luck, guys. Peace!
Well maybe, if you listed your full specs the discussion would of transprired to other hardware you were using. But you didnt list any of this.
Than, you go on to try to insult me because that info was 100% left out. But I am also using DP, and multiplexing is not new just because you are using DP connection. Of course adding more and more monitors to the same line can cause latency. This is not new. Its making a copy off a copy basically. Of course you will have better performance 1:1.
You also go on to say that its the game, but in same reply, go on to say you solved the issue and it was your connection or daisy chained connection with your multiple monitors or just didnt properly configure them. Wow, cant make this stuff up.
Oh look, still saying its the devs fault, along with saying its many other apps/games having issues for you as well. But still feel like its not a local issue. Cant make this stuff up and not all devs or programmers are going to cater to each of the infinite setups that are out there. As its up to the user to figure things out.
Wow, you googled it. Good.
I just proved it. Now, be a good boy and offer some real help here by sending a letter to Naughty Dog Support about their game having FPS drop issues due to daisy-chaining. Let’s see what reply you get.
