Crashing every few minutes
I wish I could play the game but all of a sudden after around 3 hours in the game it crashes consistently after 1-3 minutes. I tried looking through here but there's no posts that seem to help and it was all posts from when game released.

Specs:
Ryzen 9 7950X3D
RTX 4080 OC
64GB DDR5 6000MHz

My *personal* fix for this issue:
disable shadowplay when playing (I only have to do it with this game idfk why)

It seems to crash for me every 30 minutes for me, Ive only played about an hour total. Monitored my temps closely and CPU is right around 50C and GPU is right around 70C, so its not a temperature related crash.

Ryzen 2700
7900xtx
32GB RAM

Latest drivers and on latest patch of WIN 10.

Game runs sub par also, but I think thats a separate issue, I should not be getting dips to 30fps when enemies are in the area.

My performance has 0 issues and runs perfect with ultra and 1440p over 100fps. Have latest drivers and everything. This is only game for me that has issues on my new pc

I got 3 ish hours in and now no matter what I do even validating files and doing shader cache again it still crashes after couple mins

Since you are using an AMD graphics card. Do you have SAM enabled? This can lead to crashes in some parts of the game. I got stuck in the graveyard for months because the game always crashed. Then yesterday I read the tip about SAM. I haven't had a crash since then.

Try to disable FSR2/DLSS upscaling. Just play with native. Try to delete the save game and restart new game. hope it helps.

Restarting save is not a fix lmfao. I play without any upscaling, it's just ultra at 1440p. No other games have this issue. This game also did not have the issue until I hit the same area that others crash at (right before bill's place)

where exactly does it crash ? please show screenshot.
Also, careful if you are running 4 sticks of ram, xmp is very tough to maintain on 4 sticks.

I use 2, it crashes before bill's place. Hard to really get past it when every 5 minutes you crash.

This person has same issue with different specs

After this comment here I looked into what rebar is. Found out it's a setting within nvidia profile inspector. I am willing to try anything so I enabled it (I never had enabled) and it fixed the crashes for me.

Maybe it was just that small area before running into Bill but I just played for good ~30 minutes without issue. Will continue playing now and report back if any further crashes happen.

no disable rebar in your bios.

Didn't need to. Found out for some reason if you have shadowplay enabled for this game alone, it will crash. I played for an hour straight yesterday without a single issue. I enabled shadowplay to clip something for a friend and it crashed not even a minute later.

yeah disabling every overlay is number 1 step to see if crashes stop

Was never an issue before and this is a brand new PC with 4080. Didn't think shadowplay would be the very small thing affecting it after using it for years without issue
