The Event Viewer didn't show anything. The error just happened again moments ago, the GPU information came from Special K, a program I use in some games to unlock the mouse. The temperature logs don't exceed 72c. As for my PC, its an open case with Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE LCD XT Liquid CPU Cooler Three AF120 RGB ELITE Fans - 360mm Radiator. The PSU is Gigabyte AORUS AP1200PM 1000W 80 PLUS Platinum Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

Ok, what about your RAM? How much did you go with and do you have the proper XMP profile loading?
Is your motherboard's BIOS up to date?
Did you try a clean boot?
Run DDU?
Are you using default clocks for CPU/GPU /RAM?
Did you install Windows 11 via an upgrade process thru Win 10? Or did you do a clean install?
96.0 GB (95.8 GB usable)
Updated BIOS few days. Did a clean boot. Settings are all default and it was a straight Windows 11 install. The GPU and CPU stress test came out with no issues
Hmm, this is a very odd RAM amount. What is your memory per stick? 24GB? Are they all the same model and speed?
Open task manager and go to memory. What is your RAM usage?
Did you apply an XMP profile or try an XMP profile?
Are you enforcing all CPU limits? Not sure what the default for your board is here on this. What motherboard are you using?
Again, did you run DDU and than try latest display driver?
GPU/CPU stress is one thing but it isnt an end all be all for PC troubleshooting. As all game engines are different with different API's. So when all other games run fine but one, doesnt matter. Still can be an issue with system.
If you are using Special K. Disable it as it may be conflicting with this game. As with any other mod you have running. As well as iCUE software. Again, make sure you are doing a full clean boot.
RAM usage is 14%. MSI MEG Z790 ACE Motherboard E-ATX. I don't think I have a XMP profile. I did run DDU. Unfortunately I can not play this game without Special K due to my disabilities
Just to double check. Does the physically installed RAM match what windows is reading? If you have 128GB of RAM physically installed, and windows is only seeing 96GB. That means 1, 32GB stick is bad. Just asking again to make sure its not bad RAM. As again, 24GB a stick is odd to use.
You can use an XMP profile if supported by the RAM. Should be at least 2 to choose from. One should select all timings controlled by the profile to use those values. The other should split it between the profile and the rest will be controlled by the BIOS. It will tell you at the bottom of the screen what it does once you select the profile. This will improve the performance of your games.
Your motherboard's BIOS is on 7D86v1D? Which just released last week and is specifically for your CPU. Make sure you are on that version.
I know you say you need Special K, but if you test with it off. At least you would than be able to confirm if that is what is causing the crashes or not. If it is causing issues than you know its not other software running or hardware and dont really need to do anymore troubleshooting.
Try it without.
This is my RAM CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 RAM 96GB (2x48GB) 5600MHz CL40 Intel XMP iCUE Compatible Computer Memory - Black (CMH96GX5M2B5600C40)
Yeah the BIOS is 7D86v1D. Updated it on Sunday I believe
I'll try testing without SK, problem is I won't be able to do anything ingame since it will prevent me from using my onscreen keyboard
I would try turning it off.
Worth a try.
No strain. The 13900k runs DDR5 5600 MT/s native. Dont worry about it.
What I would try is setting the correct XMP profile. See if that helps.
Yea, disable Special K completely so its not even running at all. Just to remove that from the equation. If the game no longer crashes than you know the cause, and can than try to configure Special K to where it no longer causes the game to crash.
If you exhausted all other options software wise. The next thing would be to do a clean install of Win 11.
If that still doesnt work than it could be a hardware issue. You can than try to test the RAM. Use 1 stick at a time and see if it runs without crashing. Yes, this will disable the double date rate but would just be a next step to make sure the sticks are good.
Even if stress/mem tests come up OK. There could still be an issue with RAM. I had an issue with G.Skill memory not too long ago. Stress tests came up good. Games running fine except for 1. Red Dead Redemption 2. Always crashed after about a half hour of playing. Long story short, the issue was 1 out of the 4 sticks was bad. The game would always crash with that 1 stick installed.
I than RMA'd the kit, swapped in the new RAM, game ran fine after that. Why 1 game had an issue with that 1 stick. When all other games and tests did not. I couldnt tell you. But its things like that which make it frustrating to troubleshoot PC's for sure.
