Game crashes randomely with Frame Generation On with Nvidia Driver 566.03
Does anybody have the same issue?
Sometimes it crashes after 10 minutes, sometimes after 3 hours.
Not to often but it happens.

System checked on stabilty with OCCT program. All stability and stress tests are passed without errors (checked RAM Videocard and CPU). Seems like the problem is with drivers.

ryzen 5 5600x, RTX 4070, 32 Gb ram

I think your system is powerful enough to run this game on high quality settings without frame gen. Just use DLSS Quality preset and you'll be perfectly fine

this game gonna eat that 6 core 5600x

this CPU exactly fits RTX 4070, i checked it
anyway the problem is not in CPU, all stress and stability tests passed it OCCT program, the problem is in game, in FSR and Frame Generation implementation or NVIDIA driver

without frame gen i have 70-90 fps, need around 144 fps to play without ghosting effect on BenQ monitor 144 Hz with DyAc option

how you activate frame gen? I thought only AMD is usable?

it doesnt depend on videocard u use, it can be activated on any videocard
I'm having the exact same issue on my 4070 Ti Super/5800X3D/32 GB rig, and for a moment I thought it might be frame generation-related. I'm going to run a few tests with that option disabled to see if the crashes persist. If not, I'm not sure what else it could be. Have you found a fix, or do you still think it's driver/FG-related?

i tested it with different NVIDIA drivers and found that game works fine with 556.12 version (27 june 2024 version). It also has less stutters.

It seems that the problem is with NVIDIA drivers, again.

Try turning off steam overlay. This doesn't fix the issue but will let you play about 30 minutes without crash...

I ended up disabling framegen and switching to DLSS Balanced instead of Quality for more frames, using a mix of Ultra and custom settings. The game runs way better now, and I haven’t had any crashes in hours.

Thanks for the tip, tho. hopefully, this helps others with similar issues!

Hi, I guess I fixed the game (for me at least). Try this tip.

It seems this game wants all your RAM and even more!
I have 64Gb RAM. But the game stopped from crashing only when I set my swap file size to 64Gb.
I even turned off DLSS and set graphics settings to maximum values and can play without crashes.

I tried swap file sizes 16Gb and 32Gb, no luck, the game crashed every 5 minutes.

So try setting the Windows swap file size to the value which leads your total virtual memory (RAM+SWAP) size to 128Gb.

Hope this will help you.

UPDATE: ahhahahaa... turning off recent Steam "feature" named "Games recording" was the solution.

What a nonsense. You probably confuse it with a CPU of the old AMD FX series. It's not a very CPU demanding game. My Ryzen 5600x handles the game in combination of a RTX 4060 or RX 6650XT perfectly. And a RTX 4070 should be superberb.
