Is there any benefit to playing this with a PS 5 dual sense controller.
I have an Xbox Elite Series 2 controller. I have a Nintendo Pro controller. Should I complete my collection? I have a mouse and keyboard. What is the best controller setup for this game?

Adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. Other than that I wouldnt know of any other differences.

If you want haptic feedback, then yes. But it’s probably only worth it if you’re also planning to use it for other PlayStation titles, assuming you don’t already have a PS5. Keep in mind that some DualSense features only work if you use a wired controller connection. The Windows Bluetooth stack still isn’t great, so I guess developers are limited in what they can do.

For me, an Xbox controller (Xbox One or newer) still provides a great experience. Unfortunately the game doesn’t use the Xbox adaptive trigger feedback, but they did a good job with basic 2 motor force feedback.

I didn’t enjoy playing with a keyboard and mouse, so I don’t recommend that.

If you do use a PlayStation or Xbox controller, disable Steam Input in the Steam game settings. This is known to cause conflicts with this game.

I wouldn't be using Bluetooth. I use the Xbox Controller Wireless adapter. Would it make a difference?

I was taking about the PS5 DualSense controller as these can only work via Bluetooth or USB.

An Xbox controller was the best way for me, in fact, I highly recommend using the wireless adapter. Right-click the game in Steam library, go to properties, then controller settings, and select “Disable Steam Input”. You shouldn’t have any issues after this, but you won’t be able to use Steam Remote Play.

Steam Input caused issues for me with character movement and QTE scenes always failed. After I disabled it, these problems stopped

I imagine mouse controls would make the game super ez. Especially this is the type of game where every enemy only takes 1 shot to kill in the head. Red Dead 2 from controller to mouse was like crawling to driving a Ferrari as far as how powerful you became.
