DLSS vs FSR with frame gen (when i have an rtx 4080 super)

Hello, i just got the game and i saw that it doesnt have dlss with frame gen, but it does have it with fsr. Should i play with dlss because i have an nvidia card or should i go with fsr ?

If you have an RTX 4080 S. You shouldnt be using scaling at all. As it will run just fine without. Especially when a game doesnt have RT.

Definitely worth trying out. I play at 3440x1440 on a 4070ti Super and get around 90-100fps with no frame gen.

Of course you can try out, but why degrade visual quality when you dont need a performance boost?

You dont need a mod to use DLSS and FG. Its been made available in game since the FSR 3 patch back in March.

I have a vanilla 4080 and play at 5120x1440. Without scaling, the framerate can sometimes drop to below 60. But normally will run the game around 70-80 FPS without upscaling.

That's not correct. TLOU only allows FSR3FG with FSRAA or FSR upscaling. You can't use FSR3FG with DLSS in it without a mod.

You mentioned using a mod to use FG since Dec. What I replied with is that they patched game to support FG. So you dont need a mod at all.

Look you were wrong, it doesn't matter how you reword it. You need the mod if you want to use FG with DLSS. Just as he stated.

Dude, whats your gripe here? I said I caused the confusion. Has nothing to do with being correct or not. Im talking about FG and that its been made available to the game officially. Wow.
