Weird flashing
Hi everyone,

Has anyone seen this before on the PC port? Sometimes, when moving around, at least in this spot(The Woods before you run into Bill), it appears that textures flicker briefly. I saw other people complain about the PS5 version but mentioned VRR. I don't use VRR at all. Already tested things like the GPU and RAM, no issues and not seeing this in other games. Running the latest Nvidia Drivers: 556.12. Did a fresh install with DDU from the version that was released in March.

Example:

Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x3d
RAM: 32GB DDR4 at 3600M/T
GPU: Nvidia RTX 4070
Storage: 2TB Crucial P5Plus NVME
OS: Win11 23H2

Thank you.

Well, there is actually two and it can be reproduced. I was just trying to see if anyone else has seen something similar. If you frame by frame, it looks like the textures are not there at all, it is weird.

Not sure what your gripe is with me man, and why you seem to be so offended by me giving others suggestions to fix their games. Quite odd behavior.

If you make any other off topic, harassing comments towards me again. You will be blocked/reported.

All I saw was the camera go into the wall which caused a flash. This could of just been a quick rendering issue from the world to inside the wall when its made transparent so you can still see.

Does it happen in the open?

This is the first I saw it, so far. Can't say I saw it before, but given it was a spot to reproduce it, I am not sure if it can be reproducible elsewhere.

Ok, it may have been just that area for whatever reason. When camera goes inside wall there. I wouldnt worry about it if thats the only place its happened.

If start to experience that flash in other areas. Without the camera going inside walls. Let us know.

may be trying turning off bloom - off in graphics settings nd or tweak ur resolution a little lower or cud be glitching due to newest nvidea drivers .. oh yeah i remember try doing that thing steam library > right click on last of us > properties > verify the files intergerity or watever it is > may be that will fix it ? or try changing texture quality like ultra revert back to normal nd then back to ultra or medium or may play on dlss quality or something ..

Hello guys, don't pay attention to every short flickering, as long as it doesn't happen all the time, just ignore it and enjoy the games. Especially when turning the character on walls or other objects, it sometimes creates a flickering because of transitioning from one texture to another . Also don't play during thunderstorms, as it flickers particularly more often than on a sunny day.
