Different games.
They do occasionally have sales but they are rare and not that much more discounted than normal.
From what I can tell, the price peaks at release then slowly drops over time. Standard discount is about 50% but sometimes it's a lot cheaper.
Instantgaming also have some very good deals especially on older games, but last time I tried to use them they wanted me to send them photo ID. I wasn't comfortable with that so I don't use them anymore.
Sorry but that isn't true.
All meshes, textures and code were obviously reused, along with effects & global illumination data because remaking a game from the ground up would cost as much as the original title did to produce and considering it has been out for so long it's pretty obvious sales would be way lower than when it first came on the market so Naughty Dog would lose money.
Then they shouldn't have made the game $70. If a game that's being remade costs the same as a brand new IP they should've included new things like dodge and prone. And I seriously doubt they would've lost money, especially if people saw that the remake had a dodge and prone like part 2. The game also released at the end of the HBO show, so that right there would've brought in more customers. And let's not forget it took them months to get the pc port to not run like complete garbage. They rushed the game out as quickly as possible to take advantage of the HBO show's success.
TLOU Part 1 was excellent.
