Its 2024, is the game worth it?
I am eyeing for a sale to buy this game but a bit reluctant on how much ram and vram it eats on a normal day. Considering the system usage, is the game worth it? story-wise/combat-wise?

I've also heard good things about dualsense support, I have one as well and the in Returnal the raindrop feels and shooting makes it surreal - breathtaking even.

So, what's the judgement on this game?

What is ridiculous? It's a fully new engine, models, textures, etc. Redoing the level design and many mechanics would go WELL beyond the scope and is totally unnecessary. Game is great as it is.
So did Motive Studio go well beyond the scope with the Dead Space remake? Or was what they did totally unnecessary too?

Different games.

Full price no. Half price on sale or from CDKeys, totally.

Looks great, plays great, has decent KB/M controls and (now) runs well too.

The only reason its not worth full price is it's still a 10 year old game.
Hey thanks for mentioning about cdkeys, are prices always the same on cdkeys or do they also have sale? Like rn deluxe goes for 35$ which is a steal as this game hasn't gone 50% off yet.

They do occasionally have sales but they are rare and not that much more discounted than normal.

From what I can tell, the price peaks at release then slowly drops over time. Standard discount is about 50% but sometimes it's a lot cheaper.

Instantgaming also have some very good deals especially on older games, but last time I tried to use them they wanted me to send them photo ID. I wasn't comfortable with that so I don't use them anymore.

That is ridiculous. And the game was remade "From the Ground Up," so they chose not to update that stuff. There's no reason why they couldn't add a dodge and prone. Prone could've been used a couple of times. Dead Space remake was a true remake.

Sorry but that isn't true.

All meshes, textures and code were obviously reused, along with effects & global illumination data because remaking a game from the ground up would cost as much as the original title did to produce and considering it has been out for so long it's pretty obvious sales would be way lower than when it first came on the market so Naughty Dog would lose money.

Then they shouldn't have made the game $70. If a game that's being remade costs the same as a brand new IP they should've included new things like dodge and prone. And I seriously doubt they would've lost money, especially if people saw that the remake had a dodge and prone like part 2. The game also released at the end of the HBO show, so that right there would've brought in more customers. And let's not forget it took them months to get the pc port to not run like complete garbage. They rushed the game out as quickly as possible to take advantage of the HBO show's success.

You've got to be kidding me. Remake vs Remake. One was just okay, while the other one was excellent.

TLOU Part 1 was excellent.

Your point?
