The majority of people won't be interested, if they wanted PS trophies, they would play on a Playstation

Not every feature is for everyone,

Some gamers prefer to play with Mouse/Keyboard and some prefer Controllers,

I love this addition, as it'll add Crossplay, Cross Saves and Cross Friends lists etc not forgetting Trophy support thats also sync with Steam Achievements,

The real issue is developers tend to add random features... and be confused and/or insulted when not everyone likes them.
It'd be nice, but only if they included an opt out or even a way to just turn the ♥♥♥♥ off.

Not interested if it’s another program running on top of Steam and the Steam overlay and achievements system is really great that anything else would be redundant and/or inconsistent. There’s really no benefit and Steam is already great as it is.

Just wait until SONY bypasses Steam's 30% and makes its own launcher for PC. Than make it exclusive there and have Steam users wait even longer.

With the popularity of PS games on PC. This wouldnt be surprising. Especially since SONY is now incorporating sign in to PS network for GoT and this new overlay.

more overlays more problems

It's already been said you folk can opt out of using the PS Overlay/UI,

I welcome competition especially if it means better games and services overall,

Steam is no darling might i add...:steamfacepalm:

Not only have you spammed this topic on all PlayStation games, but you’ve replied with this same reply in most of those topics. Why? And your last sentence makes no sense. Steam is probably the best PC launcher and has been for some time. It’s not like PlayStations inevitable launcher will be an improvement.

You know... It just occurs to me... What happens when the "PS" developers figure out that they could also just... make games for PC, instead of having to be beholden to Sony?

Assuming you’re talking about first-party devs, they can’t. Sony makes the decisions there. Additionally, their developers specialize in making games for the PlayStation console. They likely don’t have the team built around PC releases.

In other words, Sony owns all of the AAA developers who make PlayStation games?

They own their first-party developers. Same with Microsoft.
