Can't progress after Pittsburgh cutscene

Hello, I've got up to the cutscene for the car crash in Pittsburgh, when the thug us strangling Ellie and I run over to her, I can't action anything. There is no pop up to press or i can't use any weapon so Ellie just keeps dying. I've verified the install, uninstalled and reinstalled the game and tried starting from the chapter and even from a previous save but nothing works. Any help?

I just have the same problem NOW!! No indicator what can be done from any side approaching the strangler!! I remember I had this kind of problem some month ago, but at a certain position I got a pop-up - but not this time anymore!! Something has changed!!
So for me the game is OVER here !??? HELPPPPP !!!

HELLO SUPPORT !! This is a SERIOUS PROBLEM causing the game to STOP !!

BTW - TheAW-J - I have forwarded this problem also to the support of "Naughty Dog" directly - I hope they react faster!

OK, I did just load a older save-game from April 2023, were this bug didn't appear - same result NOW - you can't action anything!

I mean the button you use to punch people in the face.

Sorry, forgot to mention that it's about the PC-Version! So keyboard and mouse control.
In this version it's common to get for every action the required Key/Mouse action displayed. This bugged scene doesn't show any KEY or MOUSE- action, so you can just watch - and then the repeat-loop starts - forever, game is looping.

You don’t need a button prompt for this. Walk/run up to the guy attacking Ellie and press the melee button. Whatever that button is on PC, you can check.

Nachdem der eine der dich am Glas erstechen will tot ist rennst du zum anderen der Ellie attackiert und den schlägst du in die fresse wie alle davor die du geschlagen hast

Hey, ich danke Dir für den Tipp - so habe ich es x-mal versucht, und jedesmal geht mein Faustschlag weit über den knieenden Gegner hinweg, also ein Luftschlag! Ich habe wieder und wieder von allen Seiten einen Schlag (F) ausgeführt - immer zu hoch....
Ich kann mich erinnern, das im April 2023 egal ob mit F oder anderer Taste ein Pop-Up Zeichen kam und damit konnte ich den Gegner von Ellie WEGZIEHEN und dann killen.

In English:
Hey, thank you for the tip - I've tried it like this umpteen times, and each time my punch goes far over the kneeling opponent, so it's an air strike! Again and again I hit (F) from all sides - always too high....
I can remember that in April 2023, no matter if with F or another key, a pop-up sign came up and with it I was able to PULL Ellie's opponent AWAY and then kill him.

I will try it again - or delete the game and re-install it

I've tried deleting and re-installing the game, it didn't work at all, there is just no pop up or anything, You can't get into the inventory or press any buttons other than move, it's really frustrating and completely broken the game for me, I can't play it :(
