Seems to me he wasn't responsible for TLoU - he was the only one left after a co-creator left. (Amy Hennig, who also did uncharted).
His input was:
1) Cordyceps only affect Women. Turned them into monsters.
2) Ellie was the only unaffected/immune woman/girl.
3) Joel had to escort Ellie across the country - with other men trying to 'get her'.
4) All the meantime, he would brutalizing woman zombies defending Ellie..
5) The game was gonna be called 'Mankind'.
6) Other devs had to talk him down.

But i never liked "Chosen people" as the idea that God sees one group as more important than others. Comparable to Mormonism with religion mixed with racism.
I guess they may not attack people with baseball bats like Neo Nazis would. But its still a very icky belief that relies around narcissism
