No More Updates?
First corridor with Joel and Tess and the tiled floor still has horrible banding all over the textures as pointed out Day 1 by Digital Foundry. I daren't play on any further if obvious issues like this are still not fixed.

Are devs planning on patching this game up, or will it be doomed forever as one of the greatest single player games of all time utterly ruined by poor porting?

You are not going to play because of banding on floor tiles? 😂😂😂

It's a bug immediately in the first section of the game, that hasn't been fixed. It was even pointed out by Digital Foundry. What does that tell you about the care and attention given to the product??

If you're happy digesting poor ports, then that's what devs will continue serving PC gamers. I'm not going to play it, because it's clearly still not finished.

Running on 4K max settings and it looks absolutely gorgeous. This coming from someone who has already played part 1 on PS5. I have noticed no visual artifacts which I suspect would be easy to see on a 42 inch OLED. I guess continue to not play the port because of floor banding on tiles.

Please don’t derail the thread anymore, the game has bugs still & I’m asking if there’s any news on further patches. If you’re happy with it, great; go enjoy.

I have the game on PS3, 4 & 5. It’s one of my favourite single player games of all time. I wanted the PC version to be the definitive experience. It isn’t.
It is doomed and rotten in the mountains of Moria.
The game hasn't received any updates for over 3 months, and there is no any update news on Steam database of any game files changes.
The game smells like hot garbage in hot summer.

Didn't the Uncharted collection receive a patch quite some time after radio silence?

That was because when ND took over patching this port from Iron Galaxy. It had same mouse issues with Uncharted. So no coincidence there.

So once ND figured out how to fix it for this game. They finally patched it for Uncharted. Something Iron Galaxy could not due all this time because of how bad they are at everything. Hopefully the industry knows never to use them again for PC ports.

I hope they get Nixxes to take a look at this port. I just crashed 6 times trying to play the final encounter of Left Behind :/

You already paid for it...not playing isn't gonna pay them more to fix it.

Wont happen. They busy working on Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition for PC.

Besides, Naughty Dog took over the port from Iron Galaxy. So there is no need for a 3rd party studio to work on the game. Especially when it already runs fine for the majority.

If people are experiencing issues its is local to their PC.

I can't remember a single game which has lifetime support.

Cyberpunk 2077 was released in 2020 and is still receiving updates, as is No Man Sky. However, it has not been a year since it was released on PC and it is certain that this game does not receive updates anymore.

You mean Digital "30 fps on consoles marketed as 60fps machines is acceptable" Foundry? The same guys that recommended the 500p massively downgraded switch version of persona 5 Royale over getting it on steam deck because the game dropped frames in crouded areas while running at 1080p max settings on a handheld designed for 800p? The ones "testing the latest and greatest" on mid range hardware from almost half a decade ago?

Those games are wayyy bigger than this. One is open world. The other is open open universe. Cant compare those to this short linear game.

Especially with the amount of content CDPR and HG had planned from the start. Thats why they were supported for so long. Now that both studios have other projects and Cyberpunk got its last main update 2.1. Updates will slow down a lot or all together.

You also have to take into consideration this game released as a full product with all DLC. Being that it was a remake there is no point in continuing support for a game that has no more new content coming. Like the others, there was more content coming. Thats why they had such a long support window. Well, that and their releases were shaky.

With that said. Unless there is a game breaking bug. This game is running just fine for the majority of players. Nothing more to be patched or added. ND has moved on to Exodus and whatever else they maybe doing.
