Tried it on a lower graphics setting? (just to set the parameters, I mean)

Nope, just finished that part yesterday without any problems.

5700 XT + R5 3600

Game isn't crashing anywhere.

Disable ReBar. Set Page File on an SSD for 64 GB. Use (as of May 25 2023) latest 23.5.1 drivers.

My game *never* crashes.

is it consistent or randomly crashing? and where exactly does it crash?

same as the previous poster: try lowering the settings temporarily. it could be stressing the memory budgets when loading a section. also pagefile settings up. 8-10 GB recommended.

(note: i had a crash yesternite too. the sniper scene, while scoped... again. i'm 1/3 to play that in one go. first time was laptop thermal throttle, now a random crash. :steamsad: f*ck be me)

consistent crashing around the houses (graveyard)

soooo i did lower the settings temporarily and it was still crashing in the same places. then i tried speedrunning through that level in low settings which required me to kill the alerted zombies and when i was done i was actually able to roam around the houses without the game crashing.

one more crash happened around the school (after the graveyard, i also upped the settings during that time) and no more when the settings were lowered.

so i guess i was able to work around the crashes. i expect more to be happening though
It is happening for me too.... I have a Ryzen 7 5800X and a 6950XT.

I always crash at graveyard, but always at the same place. I've tried everything but still nothing... I'm waiting for a new patch hoping it'll fixe my issue :I

You didn't disable ReBar or set PageFile to 64 GB.

Same for me too... always crashing at graveyard always around the same place.
Specs: R7 5800X3D, RX 6900XT and 32 GB Ram, Game is installed on an Nvme SSD

I tried: lowering the settings, enable-disable SmartAccess Memory, Pagefile, overclocking and underclocking my system, also reinstalled windows, even speedrunning through the level didn´t work

The reason must be the new patch.
I did pass this place yesterday without any problems.
Using the similiar hardware like the posters before.
So I managed to "fix" the issue. I've made several changes at once and it had seems to work. FYI, I have :
- AMD Ryzen 7 5800x / RX 6960XT / 32GB of RAM / Installed on Nvme SSD.

Follow these steps :

- Uninstall current install
- Disable SAM for AMD in BIOS
- Change Pagefile for 40960
- Undervolt your GPU with Adrenalin (if you have an AMD GPU)
- Reinstall the game
- change the graphic settings / resolution for the lowest
- Wait for the shaders to Load (this time, I've loaded my shaders in about 5 minutes, against 20 minutes the Last Time. Don't know if it's because of the lowest settings or SAM/Pagefile).
- Launch your saved game
- Just After exiting the graveyard, at the very begining of the level, do not try to loot or approaching the first housses and kill the runners or clickers, just avoid them.
- if you don't crash, you can go black to your previous graphical settings.

I Guess some of the steps cited above are useless, but since I'm not sure, you should follow all of them.

Hope it will work for you too.

actually i must have confused everyone... i actually meant the first houses, not the actual graveyard itself. i said graveyard cuz the game still tells me im at the graveyard when i just exited the actual graveyard.

"Just After exiting the graveyard, at the very begining of the level, do not try to loot or approaching the first housses and kill the runners or clickers, just avoid them. " when i did this a few days ago that seemed to solve the problem, so maybe this one step could work for anyone else
