Also, the more stress you'll put on your GPU, the less CPU usage you'll see.
I see, so should i just keep playing with 100% cpu for a while? isnt that damaging towards my computer tho
also how do i put more stress on my GPU
by not using low setting everywhere, go crank the setting up
btw... you mind sharing what cpu you use?
I use a i9 9900k, i get up to 120 fps but if i cap my fps at 120 both my cpu and gpu will be above 90%. if i cap my fps anything above 60 i get up to 100% which is weird
and why you need 120 fps in a story driven corridor shooter? you that bad at aiming, that you need 120 fps? ofc your cpu is at 90 or more percent. it has to prepare and render all those frames. and the game does more rendering and managing work then other games. that's why i wrote cap at something your cpu can handle. like 60. or in case you use a 144 hz panel i'd advise to cap and vsync at 72 fps to get a microstutter and tearing free xperience.
THANKS
mine is overclocked tto 4.9 with 4200 cl 16 tuned ram
idk evertime i cap anything above 70 my cpu goes to 100% , maybe i need to clean the dust of my fans or something idk anymore
what in game settings do you use?
do you cap ingame or on the driver level? i'm not sure how good amd drivers are, but the fps limit works great on nvidia drivers.
i have nvidia gpu, do you just cap it through nvidia control panel?
90 fps cap in nvidia control panel
I have not touched the ingame fps cap
i use ultra preset
specs r
rtx 2080ti @ 1080p res
i9 9900k 4.9ghz core and 4.6ghz cache at 1.27v (didnt win that silicon lottery)
32gb 4200 cl16 (manually tuned) and 16gb virtual mem
fan starts howling if i cap it to 165hz my monitor refresh rate - it hits around 130-165 fps depending on the area
I run at 90 fps cap, gpu averages around 80% and the cpu around 50-60%
running nvidia driver 531.29
I assume you let the game compile the shaders to 100% at the start?
hope that helps
I did let the game compile shaders and still anything above 60fps kills my cpu for some reason, any other game it works just not this one lol
