How many here still can't run it?
I've been able to run the game "decently" since day 1 (although had to sit through the long shader compilation after the first 2 patches of course) A month later it seems to run how I would have expected for a day one launch. I was surprised that many still couldn't run the game for so long so... just curious:

How many of you out there still can't get the game to run (or run without constant crashing) now? If you are one of the people still not able to run it please share your system specs.

I was playing the game, having a great time. Settings on Ultra and getting a steady 60 to 80 fps. Then about 3 to 4 weeks ago, it just stopped launching. All that happens now when I click play is a flash of a cmd.exe window opens and closes, the game syncs to cloud and that's it.

seems to be a launcher malfunction? have you tried to run the tlou-i.exe itself?

Yes, I've tried anything you can think of. ND replied to my ticket with some troubleshooting steps but I had tried them all multiple times already. I am hoping the next patch solves the issue. One their "known issues" page there is a point nothing that "the game may be unable to boot despite meeting minimum requirements. Put it this way, if the next patch doesn't solve my problems, I will play "another version" of the game.

round about 50 percent of all players can play the game. Do you await an answere of every single player under your nonsense topic ?

so... you play on minimum requirements? what are your specs then? not sure what could cause a launch failure tho. you checked the windows event viewer for errors? or you get a crash log? also... did this happen after a game update or driver update? many factors at play.

and... i doubt the "other version" will run better or at all. they are identical. if you have launch issues you will still have launch issues.

Got approx two full hours of game play last weekend after I did a full reinstallation, now it crashes and is unplayable.

Ryzen 5 2600, 32GB RAM, m.2 SSD Samsung 970, RTX 3060 ti 8GB and no go what ever I do. I have tried to reinstall, verify, run as admin, checkdisk, RAM swap, move files from one ssd to another, making swap file bigger, turning it off and on, ABSOLUTELLY NOTHING helped. I am getting exception code: 0x80000003 in application LOG. This issue seems to be NOT addressed at all.

this is ABSOLUTELLY no nonsense topic. This issue is not being addressed. If you have no problem, why in the heck you have the need to comment???

You're probably having vRAM spillover issues which is spilling over onto RAM, which is also causing a spillover onto Page File which is causing a breakpoint error in Windows causing the game to crash. You shouldn't be having a lot of issues with memory spillover, but there's a couple of memory management issues still leftover in TLOU.

Set your Windows page file manually to a minimum of 32GB and a maximum size of 48GB.

Due to the VRAM limitations of the 3060Ti, you'll need to set game graphic settings to a medium/medium-high setting, turn down Draw Distance, and you should have no issues with playing the game once you have the page file manually set.

If this still doesn't work, then remove the XMP setting on your memory and set it manually. (Also make sure your BIOS has the latest update for your motherboard and CPU). If the above steps didn't work, then you have an issue with how your system is trying to pair page file with system memory with the video memory.

I was playing on Ultra at 1080p and a steady 60 to 80fps. I was having this issue before the 1.4 patch.

Specs are below:
i5-9400F CPU @ 2.90GHz
32GB RAM
GPU: RTX 3070 Gaming OC
Windows 11

I can´t run it, it crashes constant within 3-4 min, even after building alle the shaders. I have deleted the game many times, and re-installed it with all the patches (or whatever they call them), and it crashes before I get into the game. All of a sudden framerates sink to about 10 and it crashes. All hotfixes, patches, have obviously not adressed the probelms, because they don´t know how to fix it, obviously!
I9-11900k; 3080TI; 32gb RAM;
Uncharted, Hogwarths, Horizon, and other new games run without problems on my rig. I have never experienced ANY game that could not run on this rig. So, remove the game and toss it out, or take it back to the drawing board, and try to fix it so it could be ready to X-mas

How much multi-tasking do you do on your PC? The game is CPU and memory heavy and if you try and do too many things, then you can run into performance issues as your CPU is busy running your browser or other apps.

How long does it take the shader comp to complete? Delete the PSOlib folder from your game's installation directory, verify files and re-compile the shader.
