If people cannot even run this on lower vram like 4-6gb vram then why does the minimal requirements still say 4 gb vram??????
I mean if they are not fixing it to run on what they have as specs on the store page then common sense would dictate that they need to change the requirements listed on the store page. I have wanted this game for my birthday but after still reading it runs so bad I will wait, however, I think they need to change the requirements to run the game on the store page to what vram you actually need to run it . Just my opinion.

Agreed.

If it requires better hardware than advertised in minimum, then it is false advertising.

Because min and recommend requirements are guild lines and not to be taken seriously that's why PC ports lately have been beta testers. The pc gaming industry is currently in the ♥♥♥♥♥ right now has been for nearly a year, consoles is were the money is and always has been PC gaming is an afterthought

i have seen people play it on 4 GB cards at acceptable performance. low is what you get.

i can tell it runs great on 6GB with a fast gpu. medium and high textures. and looks good.
I got it to run on my 3050 Ti laptop (4GB), it’s a 720p-900p low-medium kind of experience though, possibly needing DLSS. It’s not good, but that was before the update that improved the low/medium textures. It was very hitchy and stuttering, that was with an i5-12500H(4p+8e) and 32GB of 3200MHz DDR4. Abyssal performance and not worth buying the game based on my experience. Runs way better(although still not very good) on the Steam Deck, probably because of the unified memory (and not being limited to 4GB of VRAM).

You’re absolutely right though, this lack of accountability from major publishers is very anti-consumer and changing the requirements is the least they should do. They seemingly would rather trick people with lower end specs out of their money than actually provide a serviceable experience. That’s why everyone should wait to buy post-launch on PC and scour YouTube and internet for performance reviews (or check techpowerup’s review of the game if there is one) from reputable sources, it’s the only way to get any visibility in how the game will run, you can’t trust these discussion forums necessarily, all you will get is some rich boy with a 4090 that his dad bought him telling you that you deserve to lose your money for owning a “potato PC” and that “it runs fine for me”.

I have an RTX 2060 with 6 gb vram. so you think it would run on medium on this? I mean everyone else on forums is saying it eats up vram and ram so I just dont want my birthday present to be a non running game. That is why I have posted several times asking about performance. I keep seeing so many people having issues.

yes I saw the post that the guy had two computers with 4k series graphic cards saying it runs fine. Most people, myself included, cannot afford a 4-5000 usd computer to play this game. That is why I really feel they need to change the specs on the store page. I do not believe from what I am reading that a GTX 970 4 gb vram can run this game and that is one of the GPU they list on minimum requirements.
I myself have an RTX 2060 with 6 gb vram and I am skeptical at how it would run on my computer.

Here’s my steam deck running the game at a mix of high-medium-low settings.
Your pc is certainly more powerful and should run the game better. But here’s what you can expect if not better

This actually looks pretty good in the screens. I usually only run things med-high on 1080p for newer games on my computer. some mostly medium is they are really demanding. Thanks for showing me your screens. I am still thinking about getting the game for my birthday. just not sure since there are a few other games out that do definitely run on my computer so I will decide after i really consider it. Thank you though. :)
