No chance of playing on 8 GB of ram AND a 4 GB card???

tried launching it, didnt work. and i thought i should consider looking into more ram but what about my video card? i got a 1650 and its 4 gb, and could it still run even if more ram is added onto my pc?

Refund the game then buy yourself another 8GB of ram , wait In till its on sale in 6 months time (after many patches)

Tlou is not optimised enough yet to run smooth enough on lower end g/cards

You need at least 16GB Ram and at least a 6GB or 8GB video card.

I would not try to play this on anything below, recommended settings which are the minimum in my opinion:

the low requirements are just a lie. You need minimum 8gb vram and even with that you can have some issues with textures and stutters.

Absolute minimum for this would be a 6 core 12 thread cpu, 16gb ram, 8gb video card such as RX 6600 and nice ssd.

SpiderFlash found an ally in the battle to get ND to support 8GB of system RAM. And you can run the game on 4GB GPUs, but definitely will need 16GB of system ram. Be prepared to run at 720p, with everything set to low and enable FSR quality or balanced and it still won’t hold 60 fps. The game will run like that on my 3050ti laptop, it’s not that much more powerful than a 1650. I honestly don’t think that experience is worth the price though.

Can't confirm the CPU, I still use an I7 3370k and have no problems in 1440p. I run a RTX2080Ti with 11GB of VRAM though.

at what framerate tho? surely below 60, right? well... most gamers consider 1080p at 60 fps minimum these days. me included.

The game is really heavy at higher resolutions/graphical presets but I think people with really powerful machines see their PCs underperforming and assume that it wouldn't run on lower end/entry level hardware. The game itself is a moving target in terms of performance, so how it ran at launch is not the same as how it runs today. The next patch will hopefully continue that trend and improve people’s experience. No matter what a person’s budget and hardware choices are, if they meet the minimum spec and paid for the game, then they deserve to be able to play it. I hope it works out for everyone because the game itself is worth experiencing.

According to the Steam hardware survey the 1650 is the 6th most common GPU.
Makes you wonder why since that pos is as bad as the 9 year old GTX 970.

I don't think there's a chance your computer could handle the game at this level. Even if you got another 8GB of RAM it would barely be enough in that regard. Your GPU would still not allow this game to load. You need more RAM and a newer GPU with 8GB of VRAM, minimum.
