If you have performance issues. Disable resizable bar or smart access memory.

I would have thought such an option would be set to *Auto* within the game. So the game interogates the Hardware Vram sees what available vs a known max the game will take in that resolution and decide what it can allow it to have from the get go?
If not it would appear that the game would keep the hardware in some sort of Legacy mode until the user decided differently knowing the hardware she/he has available ie more Vram?
and increased availability manually so that Video data chunks could be taken in greater size?

Hah, no man, to get resize BAR working on my rig I had to dig into my UEFI BIOS and make changes before the software would even recognize and enable it for the card. It's a bit of a process at least currently.

However, in my case it made leaps of improvements overall.

Some older/specific parts may not be as compatible with how it functions, though.

Was that due to say having a compatible but possibly older Mainboard chipset? Where perhaps the game developers only opted to automatically support chipsets that were reasonably recent, even listed?
Quite funny really when my first graphics card had only 1MB of Vram, even later my Voodoo 1 3dfx (loop through) card had only 4Mb.

I digress (again) Shame no one seems to get excited about sound anymore. I loved my Ensonique Sound card & https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_Blaster_AWE32 cards. I guess with the exorbitant prices of the current GPU's being more expensive than ever, evry bit of cash seems to have to go to the GPU now.
Plus looking at my (geeky) library of Nvidia driver package releases, their size has become getting closer to 1GB when they once were a tiny fraction of that.

Not to my knowledge, there's a reason the internet has videos for it, enabling the Resize BAR has to originally be enabled in BIOS. However, once you get all the steps done right, because it's more than just a simple single setting, (there are a few you have to ensure have changed), then you can turn it off and on at will from your GPU's control panel settings in Windows.

My first owned GPU was a Voodoo 3.. I feel you. It's a new form of PC part convergence, but it can be really helpful if you bought the right parts.

Yeah I still have a Sound Blaster that's over 10 years old, and even bought a replacement recently, which was sold to me worse than the original I bought, from the same website. So, that worked out, old sound card still works. I just had to fight in the settings of my personal sound card control panel to lower the sound audio to 96Khz from 192 at 24bit and now 5.1 sound functions..
ReBar boosts performance ever so slightly, but it uses some 2 GB more VRAM. This cripples AMD GPUs up to 12 GB cards.

ReBar Off allows AMD GPUs to not crash and even use Ultra Textures on 8 GB cards.

interesting thread about SAM (AMD) with this game which supports the OP's claim

I thought this was going to be another sudo fix but it actually fixed my issues OMG. I was getting 30 FPS in some areas and now it's 60 to 70. Thank you!
I have an i5-10600KF and a RX 6700XT. I've been wondering why equivalent CPUs (Or even the same CPU) was getting drastically better performance for a while now. X_X

Not a fix.

Go visit the uncharted forums and see the lack of progress there on the same exact bugs that the two games share.

Tried, and the only change is extra stuttering and hickups, same fps but with Resizable Bar are more estable. 12100F 16GB RAM RX6650XT.

I tried both SAM on and off and with SAM on I get either no performance difference or like 2-3% better fps.
I leave it on because it just works. I completed the story without a single crash. 1440 high settings on a Radeon 5700XT (8GB).
