I'm done arguing about something that even child should understand. Here's an explanation from Digital Foundry https://www.eurogamer.net/digitalfoundry-2021-amd-fsr-interview

LOL and you apparently didnt even read it.

DLSS:
"The two key technologies to use this initially were checkerboard rendering and temporal super-sampling. These techniques what made PS4 Pro's 4.2TF GPU capable of producing a pretty convincing 4K output and they've been used on all consoles by this point. Similar techniques are now found in a range of engines supported on PC too - and with an added component from machine learning, that's how DLSS 2.x works as well..."

KEYWORD: SUPERSAMPLING

FSR:
"AMD was effectively pursuing techniques that the industry in general had basically left behind - FSR isn't a reconstruction technology like TSSAA or checkerboarding, rather an upscaling one."

KEYWORD(s): ISNT A RECONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY...RATHER AN UPSCALING ONE

Even DF understands the clear distinction between the two technologies.

And while the FSR in this article was probably 1.0, the 2.0 implementation, at best got a temporal aspect to it to handle the artifacts frame to frame from 1.0 and keep the frames consistent, but not to recreate more or better image quality from the lower resolution.

AMD has all ready stated that they will not be doing AI upscaling and will stick w/ FSR. We have yet to see how long they can hold that stance if DLSS becomes better and better.

Both serve the same purpose. FSR is an answer to nVidia's DLSS. What's so hard to understand?
It can be called supersampler, but it's still an upscaler the whole purpose of which is to provide better FPS at the target resolution.

"FSR 2.0 is AMD’s second attempt at countering Nvidia’s Deep Learning Super Sampling or DLSS. Unlike FSR 1.0 which left a lot to be desired, FSR 2.0 is almost as good as DLSS and provides a significant performance uplift in supported titles."

Do I need to continue? The two are compared as directly oposing upscaling technologies of AMD and nVidia.

LOL no they dont! One is an ai supersampler and the other is just a high quality upscalar.

LOL because the people comparing them are idiots! They compare them because they want to give people the illusion of competition. Its infotainment, not objective analysis. They are trying to sell themselves as reviewers so they are gonna tell people what they think they want to read (when in reality people are too ignorant for most of these topics...including you). You are so easily fooled because you have no clue how to think about anything.

"AMD's FSR 2.0 Aims to Compete More Closely with Nvidia's DLSS"

More closely means closer but really no cigar. Which implies they weren't close in the first place? LOL. You are so easily fooled.

LOL shill reviewers who think that they two technologies compete when nobody wh o owns an nvidia card uses anything but DLSS and no one who owns an AMD card can use anything but FSR. A joke.

A second attempt? LOL so they didnt do it in the first attempt? You said they were the same!

FSR is almost as good? ROFL. Another shill review site whos best interest is to give AMD praises.
