Compiling shaders takes too long and makes my CPU overheat, any help?
I am trying to compile shaders again after installing the correct drivers and it is going pretty slow (1-2% per 4-5 minutes) and it will also bring my cpu temp to 90 C in a matter of seconds. Is there any fix at all to this? I highly doubt that my cooler is the issue I would say the module if I knew it but it is usually at least at a constant 2400 RPM and whenever I am playing something else it doesn't usually get higher than 75 C

Just boot into your bios and set the CPU core ratio to like 30, that will downclock your CPU to 3Ghz.

Lower clock speed, adjust voltage via UEFI BIOS.

I have tried changing the speed of the fan when it is at certain temperatures. Is that what you mean? Sorry I am not that smartest when it comes to technicals.

Go into power options and there is a section to limits cpu max usage, set it at say maybe 80% and let the shaders cache.Simply set it back to 100% when done. This should keep temps under control while shaders caching....

What CPU do you have?

Download Ryzen master and run the curve optimiser, it will tune your voltages and you should see considerably lower temps all around, especially in full load scenarios.

Do you mean game or PC settings? I assumed game settings but I can't find what you're mentioning.

I have the program now and I see two options for Cure Optimizer Mode "All Cores" and "Per Core" which would be the better/safer options here?

Use all cores for now, basically, per core lets you set a voltage curve per core, but it takes a lot of time to get each curve nailed down. All cores creates one voltage curve that all cores follow.

Alright I will try that but before I do is this safe or does this run like a high risk of frying my CPU?

There's no risk to hardware because you're essentially reducing your voltage, reducing the amount of power your CPU is receiving at any given time and not enough voltage can't damage a CPU, only too much can.

Also, running the optimiser won't automatically set the voltage curve anyway, you'll be able to view the results from the test then decide what offset you want to try.

Just limit your cpu and let the shaders cache then re-enable 100% so easy.......no o/c software needed either.

I started it and my voltage immediately went from 1.2 to 1.4

This happens to people who dont adequately stress test their systems. What happens when you run something like cinebench? Typical CPU usage will never be something like cinebench, but workloads do happen that use a lot more of your cpu. The only way around this is to cool it better or like people are saying to run a curve optimization to lower the operating voltage which will lead to lower temps at higher CPU usage.
