Anyone playing with 7700K and GTX 1080?
Any of you playing with a 7700K and GTX 1080? I've somewhat been following the chatter about this port. Seen a lot of comments about performance. I'm curious how the game might perform with my aging hardware.

At 4k I would obviously be in trouble. But, I'll be playing at 1080p. Think it'll perform okay?

Ouch! Not looking good lol.

Sucks that the performance is this low. I still get a solid 60fps with max settings at 1080p with other recent AAA releases. Death Stranding, Cyberpunk, Elden Ring, Days Gone... Just to name a few.

Thanks for the link though. Much appreciated.

After recent patches, it works good for me for 1080p/60Hz fixed, V-Sync On:
i7-4790k, GTX 1080
Just be prepared for 80-100% CPU usage during gameplay.

Just curious, what settings are you playing with?

Geforce Experience settings: Optimal, Full Screen, 1920x1080.

I play with i7 4790K, 16Go ram, GTX1080, FSR balanced @1440p.

I chose 21:9 ratio (black bands up and down, but better performance than 16:9, and pixels stay at 1:1 so the image clearer than 1080p fullscreen).
Everything on HIGH, some parameters on half or quarter resolution.

I'm between 40 and 60 FPS.

6700k and gtx 1080 here. High settings, fsr quality. around 40 fps sometimes higher. Problem is constant stuttering and frequent frame drops

Don't bother unless you're ok with 30 fps and a stuttery mess. You need at least an Intel 10th gen (an i7 since those have 8 cores since this game has ♥♥♥♥ texture decryption so it eats a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of CPU power). The GPU would be alright for 1080p med setting. But the real problem for you will be the CPU. Also textures at medium looks like ♥♥♥♥♥, so i would never even bother playing a PC port that would look like a PS3 game. But that's me.

I have not tested with mouse+keyboard, but with a controller I have no stuttering.
Just some framedrops sometimes when I enter a new area, it needs a few seconds to stream everything and goes back to normal smooth framerate.
I appreciate all the feedback. Personally, I can't stand anything less than 60fps because it looks like a slideshow. When I built the Hulk (my PC) I thought I'd get more years out of it. But, looks like the Hulk is running out of gamma radiation.

Time to start thinking about the next build, Hulk² World-Breaker.
