Left Behind Crash

Anybody else having their game crash the moment they power up the generator and the wires electrocute the stalkers in the water?

For me the game always crashes after quitting on the left behind credits...

OP: Could it be that you use an alternative skin/clothes/weapon on your character? Meaning something is not default.

Bump, happened to me too

I heard users say there was a conflict with using skins and switching back to the default skins before activating the generator fixes the crash. After the generator is booted up and have control over Ellie again, you should be able to reapply skins.

Yes, actually. I have the custom backpack, goggles, and shirt equipped. I can attempt the scene with everything set to default and see if that helps.

Actually this helped me, but I had to switch to default skins not only on Ellie but on Joel as well. Kinda weird

This actually works. I discovered that you have to swap the weapon skins to default as well.

I tried to switch skins back after starting the generator but It immediately crashed the game after restarting checkpoint. But when you open the door to the shop with several infected and change skins back/reload checkpoint the game will not crash.

It was suppose to be patched in this patch but I'm guessing it fixed all the other instances of this happening and made this one more pronounced. Oddly, I never had it with the patch myself. But I was only using character, backpack and bow skins, and all the guns were on default.

I managed to fix it by setting all skins back to default and switching my graphics preset to low... not sure why but it didn't crash. :)

yes, even in 'safe mode'. Using default skins solved the problem

Im gonna try using default skins beacuse right now it crashes for me when i turn on generator and it electrocutes clickers.

Make sure you have no weapon skins as well, as that seems to cause it at that point
