I don't remember if this was in the original game i think it's something that was from the second game but is now in the remake as well since it's based on it but i could be wrong.
I used a controller and you barely push the left stick a few mm to slow move when crouching to sneak past clickers. You can also use the brick or bottle to throw at a place to distract them. This will only give you some respite and you have to move quickly as they will resume their usual patrol path again.
See why controllers for 3rd person games, especially like this are so useful. No need to have your fingers twistered around the keyboard just to walk at a certain pace.
On grounded you cannot afford to waste shivs... you get to pick up only 3 shivs in the entire game and have to craft the rest with the tape and blades. If you want to unlock all 13 doors in one playthrough better be smart about dealing with clickers without resorting to killing or alerting them.
Yeah i'm guessing the OP isn't playing on Grounded given the context of him claiming to be bad at the game and dying a lot, that could explain it though :D
I'm switching quiet a lot between controller and mouse for obvious reasons.
You are right. Since this is my first playthrough, I'm playing on normal(?) or one above difficulty. Mainly because the MK controls feel bad, I don't plan on challenging the game (yet). At this point it's pretty easy and only the clicker issue is pretty annoying, but since I know this was included in the base game already and they can locate me through echolocation, it will feel much less annoying and I can work on it.
At the time of the post, I was just a bit post meeting Bill with the section with all the clickers (after you jump out of church) and the section at school which finally drove me crazy because it felt so random 😅
STRG?
