This game is the final nail in my coffin to no longer play pc games.
It used to fun playing video games when I grew up in the 80s and the 90s consoles were soo much more fun and easier to play games on without worrying about can my pc handle "this game" or will it have issues in some way or another no matter how much I spent or went in debt for pc components to play these games.

The past 20 years or so of playing games on pc has been more hell than fun especially the last 5 or so years because most games seem to have issues even with higher end components.
The first couple of years were kinda crazy because I was new to pc gaming and learning how to use a computer to play video games on was interesting, but it was a hell of alot of fun once you get to play games.

I am almost 50 now and I have alot of grey hair on my head and my beard is all grey, and all the stress that pc gaming in the past 5-10 years have me thinking what was the point when most games I play are also on consoles. So for now on I will only buy consoles which is still fun and don't have to worry about anything, and I will update my pc only when it isn't able to play new games anymore even at 1080p.

Because so many games the last 6 months or so with soo many issues I finally decide that for now on I will buy most games only on either my Xbox SX or my PS5 unless I have no choice because the game is only on pc.

Now is probably the worst time to get into PC Gaming the Hardware keeping getting more and more expensive mean while no matter how much you throw at many games you can't get them running as stable as you could else where. Its been 2+ years of awful and half assed ports and overpriced hardware that honestly isn't that impressive.

As someone who's had to tangle with PC gaming in the 90s through the mid 00s, you people have no idea how easy we have it nowadays. But, I will respect people who are willing to sacrifice complexity for the sake of convenience. You do you.

I'm in the same age bracket and I love my 12th gen cpu and 3090 combo, games are better than ever, other than crappy ports, but they are easy to avoid. When the crappy ports get fixed....time to buy and they are on sale @ 1/2 price to boot. You are just doing it wrong. No one said you had to buy an old console classic the second it gets released,at your age you should have patience like I do,oh well, good luck with the console kiddos.

And this is all a result of greed. Corporations don't care about delivering great products at reasonable prices. All they care about is profit and couldn't care less about their customers. The people who made this terrible port did the most lazy job and charging full price for essentially a remaster. They couldn't care less about PC as Sony is interested in their own platform and the reason is greed. And those produce GPUs, don't care about being reasonable, they just want to rip people off.

My biggest problem with console gaming has ALWAYS been the controllers. I realize it's my issue, not theirs. But if they would just allow for use of keyboard/mouse, I'd be set. I have no problem with controllers for racing or flight sims, but shooters have to add a ton of aim assistance just to make up for the lack of precision...

There's plenty of good games coming out from indies and smaller development companies. I avoid most of the triple A developers now.

TLOU isn't a PC game. It's a console game.

I play on PC and prefer to use a controller.

That's a lot to unpack. True, as gamers in the 80s and 90s we did not worry about our set up. We did however worry about busted games. Bad Atari games brought the industry to its knees and Nintendo saved it. Superman 64 comes to mind as well. We had few ways of knowing about a game before buying it. I relied on the cover art, LOL. We have all of that information at our finger tips today. I find it fun to engage with the community to resolve issues with my PC especially with gaming.

It seems you've become a bit jaded over the years. Gaming is fun for me.It reconnects me with my inner child. If it was no longer fun or causing unmanageability in my life I would have to remove it from my life. Hopefully this will pass for you.

I'm also in my late 40s. Plenty of grey. I can understand putting my money into a platform that I have confidence in and wish you all the best on console. We'll be here.

Agreed. Every time a new game comes out I have to try and find fixes for stuff. When I play on ps5 its a much more stress free experience. Sometimes I wish I had bought a new TV and a badass surround sound system instead of buying a gaming pc. These companies don't see us as important as console users but still charge us the same price for an unfinished product.

I’m the opposite I just can’t play video games with a keyboard/mouse no matter many times or how hard I have tried over the years as just can’t get used to it after growing up playing games with controllers it’s the only way I can play video games. Also I miss out on a lot of games because it seems that atleast half of pc games can’t be played with controllers, and for me that sucks as well.
