Open up the mouse and there will be a display inside. It will initially be on 'telemetry' mode (Win11 Ready), and will display 'sending', cut the 'blue' wire (ONLY the BLUE), then it will display 'ready', close up mouse and go to your mouse software.
Set polling rate to whatever.
Interesting question.
Would you play a console game with KB&M if the game was specifically made with KB&M for PC and then ported from PC to console?
I hear this reverse argument a lot with the Dark Souls PC port of the game.
My thought is, if a company ports from one platform to another it should cater to the primary input source and the other being a viable option.
Xbox controllers all have official PC dongles available as far as I'm aware, I think my Xbox One pad was bundled with one. I have a DS as well and connect that via a bluetooth dongle and wired where needed. It remains to be seen whether Sony will make a wireless dongle that will give PC users the full DS experience, we live in hope though! A few better ports of PS5 games may help!
LOL I suck at aiming with a controller as well but I played TLOU with a controller and had a great experience. This game is a little more "forgiving" than some other games.
I play exclusively on PC and I only use a controller. Currently my main controller is the Flydigi Apex 3, but I also like using the Razer Wolverine Ultimate.
On PC you can use third-party software like ReWASD or SteamInput to create fully customized control configurations along with a customized analog response curve and also eliminate Deadzone values built into the game, so using the controller actually feels a LOT better than on a console.
Oh, and mods. On PC you can mod games, and often times even simple small mods can make a huge difference. For example I use a simple mod for RDR2 that lets me walk faster. I can't imagine having to play the game without it.
Controller for playing on my TV! Just started TLOUP2 there actually
I used REWASD for early COD games and it worked quite well. TLOU seems to favour turning Steam Input off, particularly where the DualSense is concerned, I do agree though that it is great for games that make the best use of it.
