Does this game have true HDR support?
I use the auto HDR feature in windows 11 and it really improves a lot of games that don't support HDR. So far in every other game I've tried, it only turns on if the game itself either doesn't support HDR or has it turned off. However with this game I have HDR turned on in the game's display settings, and I still get the "auto HDR enabled" dialog when I start the game. Anyone else notice this?

just loaded up the game for the first time on my new OLED HDR monitor and also got the auto-hdr enabled popup, which is confusing and shouldn't happen since it's supposed to be native HDR

I don't see the HDR option in-game. Hence auto-HDR.

It's hidden in the "brightness" option under the display setting.

HDR Option is thete but greyed out but only available when activating HDR First in Windows so then its no Real HDR colours because Windows is messing up HDR content when it doesnt have real fullscreen support

Yeah this is weird... Turning off HDR in the settings also doesn't seem to change the display mode. It just makes the example image really sharp and changes colors completely.
There is no setting for peak brightness. I saw somewhere that this game apparently uses a peak brightness value of 10000 nits, which is insane.
It seems like a mess. Whatever they did they didn't implement correctly or otherwise Windows wouldn't offer to Auto-HDR the game, while the game is supposedly already using HDR...
Might have something to do with the fact you can't select true full screen? it's just borderless :\

auto-HDR is not very good. Also the game will detect if you have HDR enabled

DX12 doesn't have exclusive full screen, it uses full screen optimisations and fully supports HDR

why people want hdr or dolby vision is beyond me. it seems like people fall for marketing instead of forming their own opinion because nobody in their right mind would choose a normal image compared to an immensely washed out one.

and I own multiple oled screens with my s95b being capable of 95% of bt2020.

what are you even talking about. HDR image is vastly superior to standard definition. your eyes ok?

HDR is exactly the opposite of washed out, it's more likely to over-saturate an image

You obviously never figured out how to use it properly. If it looks washed out it isn’t working properly. HDR is brighter and tends to be higher contrast. You’ve obviously never actually seen HDR.

You don't make sense. HDR is vastly superior to SDR in every game you care to check out, even with Win11 Auto-HDR which is the weakest solution available.

Using nvidia RTX HDR you can set up the HDR image to your preference using a single shortcut to the overlay. Alternatively you can use HDR through Special K or through Reshade.

If you had seen real HDR on a decent screen you would never want to game in SDR ever again.

I currently have 3 OLED screens in my living room, two of them hooked up to two gaming PC's.

agreed. even my laptop has HDR. it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ HDR (500nit max) but it's still better than SDR.
