anyway, i know i can just tap 3 to switch to the gun. but why is the gun in the weapon wheel if you can't access it via the weapon wheel?
or if there is a way, what is it?
The numeric keypad allows an 'intuitive' way to access the Medipak and Throwables.
The '4' and '6' act as the left(longgun) and right(handgun). << tapping the key again accesses the secondary long-gun/handgun.
When you make 'holsters for the handgun and loggun, you can "quick access" 2x longguns and 2x handguns without kneeling for the backpack.
The numeric keypad simulates an intuitive 'D-Pad' on the console controller.
While the Numbers across the top, provide convenient access for 'WASD' users.
My left hand is on WASD and my right hand is on the mouse.
So which hand is lifting up from its main control area and moving over to the right side of the keyboard to use the numpad?
And I'd still like someone to answer my original question. If I scroll on the mouse it brings up the weapon cross. From that interface, how do you go sideways to weapons?
I see what you mean.. yeah it's not optimal ... not having a third hand. I'm just saying it's there.
Alternatively, you could use the numbers across the top for firearms and the mouse-wheel for utilities.
and IIRC, once the weapons cross comes up, you can move the mouse to each weapon?
I'm sorry if i misunderstood your question but here is how to make the wheel button on weapons instead of throwables.
Go to:
(OPTIONS) Then scroll down to (KEYBOARD & MOUSE) Section, then the first option (WEAPON CROSS SCROLL) choose (WEAPONS ONLY).
So I guess I'll use the #'s right above WASD for weapon selection.
Oh I might try all items.
For the time being the '3' and '4' keys have been fine for weapons.
It's not a big deal in the long run. Just replaying this because I just watched the show
Overall the remake is beautiful (probably cuz I have really high end hardware) and plays great. This was my only nitpick.
