For me (I wasn't getting constant crashes, just when I entered a new area) lowering my texture detail settings stopped all crashing.
i dident have any crashes, but was only able to play with default settings. any higher than that would put into the Vram warning 112
Are you using MSI Afterburner to overclock the GPU core and/or memory of your 3080?
If so then try resetting to the default clocks and see if that makes the game stable. I had +75 MHz on the core and +500 MHz on the memory and that was working fine with the dozens and dozens of games I have played since I got the card last August. Just not this one.
Also, if you are using DLSS then try running the game native as I have read comments from others that it fixes the crashes for them.
I was getting crashes between 2 and 15 minutes into the game every time but tonight, after making sure DLSS was disabled and my GPU was set to its default clocks, I was able to play it for over an hour and exit the game of my own accord instead of it crashing.
This is on the 1440p High preset by the way which the recommended settings for a 3080 according the published system requirements.
Hi all,
Just to help those out there that are dealing with a lot of crashes.
When I played the game yesterday originally, I let the shaders load before going into the game and had severe texturing issues along with multiple crashes. I set my settings on for NVIDIA DLSS and crashing / texture issues still continued.
After the patch today, textures are finally decent, however still crashed every 5-10 minutes.
From looking around (and not easy to find btw), someone said to turn off DLSS. I did this and since I have had 1 crash in about 3 hours of playing and that was during a very high-effect intense scene.
So for those with crashes on Nvidia, maybe try with DLSS off to see if this helps you while waiting for a patch.

With these settings and DLSS off, I have found no stuttering issues (other than the awkward mouse movement) and decent quality game play.
I hope this helps people get it working at least to enjoy some game play while waiting for a decent patch. :)
my ingame settings: graphics preset high (what the game suggested)
DLSS : off
1440p screen res
60 FPS locked
9900K / 32 GB RAM / shaders compiled 100% (40 Mins wait in the Main Menu).
performance is stable @60, game looks great.
after the recent patch there was some stutter introduced within the first hour of playing but it's gone now.
That's ok though. The default settings are not created equal for all games... .and medium on one game can be more demanding better than ultra on another.
That being said, it definitely looks like there are opportunities for optimization.
