Fix?
Has anyone found a way to fix at least as many crashes? Edit a .txt in some folder, some mod, some workaround, whatever, I can't play it

My PC: i5 11400F, 3090 24GB, 32GB RAM

I force it to run in DX11 so it won't crash as much but it will still over heat the cpu due to it running at 100% 100c for a while.

How do I run it in DX 11? Thanks in advance

THe fix for me was replacing the oo2core_9_win64.dll file with a different version.

Google it and google Oodle issues. You can find the fix file on nexus and other sites. Just backup your old file first.

Would it bother you a lot to send me the link of the file? Thank you very much in advance, if necessary I'll add you as a friend on Steam

NLxAROSA postet an advice in another section of this forum. Actually this worked for me.

My game was constantly crashing in the "Beyond the walls" chapter. Every 1-2 minutes, making it unplayable. Before that section, my game never crashed, and performance was real good.

What NLxAROSA suggested was to lock the max FPS in the game. I actually had it locked to 80FPS, but today decided to lock it at 60FPS max, to see if it actually fixes my crashes. And it did! It's a bit funny as performance-wise, my 3080 could easily run the game at 80-100FPS in 1440p. I am sure this is something that the developers can fix. Until then I am happy to play the game with 60FPS, which is quite alright for me.

You can't run in DX11. It's been outdated for two years and recent games won't even launch.
