Cpu temperature problem
I have the game everything on high, but I deactivated some options that made it use more cpu, I also already compiled 100% the shaders. The game runs between 60 to 90 fps which is fine. But it is using 100% of the CPU making my temperatures between 88 to 95°C. Any advice to lower the temperatures? (I have a stock heatsink- yes, I know I have to buy a more powerful one) but it is still strange that it is using 98% of the cpu.

my pc specs are these:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600x (3700-4600 GHz)
RAM: Kingston HyperX FURY Black DDR4 16GB (3200MHz) x2
GPU: EVGA Geforce RTX 3060 XC 12gb

It's not hate, the game is well done: D I waited so long for it to come to PC, I even finished it getting platinum on ps3 and ps4 XD

UPDATE:

I bought the NZXT Kraken X53, now my temperature without doing anything is 33°C and playing The Last of Us is 60 to 70°C depending on the map, also the cpu is no longer at 100% use, at most It is at 70%. That thanks for answering and buy a good heatsink :D

Only thing is to not use the stock heatsink, they are terrible.

It’s performance issues. There’s nothing you can do other than wait

Stock Wraith cooler is not sufficient for extended periods of time under full load even for 65W SKUs.

Buy better heatsink.

limit your fps. no need for 90 in a cinematic singleplayer really ;)

your cpu is within the range that amd boost works though on stock cooler its how amd intended it to be used.

buying a new cooler is your main option to do though there some really good options for around £30 to £40 which will make your cpu cooler under full load and much quiter also

This is not a perfomance issue, its a cooling issue.:steamfacepalm:

If your CPU gets hot under load, that's a you problem, not a game problem.

This would be the case whether it's 1998 or 2028, your CPU should be able to handle full load without overheating.

If you fix your cooling, you'll probably see significant improvement.

I play monster hunter world and uncharted 4 in ultra and it doesn't exceed 70°C, only in this game

He said it’s using 100% of the CPU which is what is causing it to get to abnormal temps. Yes, I agree that having a better cooler would help his temps but it won’t solve his 100% cpu issue

but hes not over heating though. Its within amd main temp spec for boosting. he is using the stock wraith cooler which come with the cpu.....

I'm watercooled and its still peaking high 80s

The issue is your CPU temp is too high, so that's the place to start here. Sure, this game sounds like it's poorly optimized, but a poorly optimized game shouldn't overheat your PC, that's just a cooling issue.

If your CPU overheats due to poorly optimized software, then it'll start causing hardware locks and limiting the hardware to decrease temps. But the poorly optimized software isn't causing those knock-on effects, the lack of adequate cooling is. So, fix the cooling first.

If the CPU is throttling due to temp, then proper cooling will absolutely help with compute load.

Did you miss the part where he said it runs fine, there is nothing wrong with using your hardware it just needs to be cooled properly. If you can't run your CPU at 100% without it overheating you need better cooling. This would also stop throttling and bring his lows much higher.

Bro, please. He can have that crap on liquid nitrogen and get 0c and he would still have 100% cpu usage which would cause the game to have low frame rates and stutter issues.
